Booked this as part of a package with Thomas Cook. This hotel is not that near the beach though to…read moreget to the beach you get to walk through Old Town Salou which is kind of nice. You can catch a bus but it only takes about fifteen minutes by feet - granted possibly longer if you have small children. Oh and if you're wanting to go to the club district, definitely take a taxi as you have to walk practically the whole beach to reach it. The hotel is lovely and air conditioned with gorgeous rooms (tile floors) and huge beds. The bathrooms are all state of the art and lovely with baths. The pool is nice but can get a bit crowded with young children splashing about, also the lifeguard tends to watch you a bit too much - probably gets bored sitting round all day. There are hardly any sun loungers ever free and if you want a spot in the sun - run. Theres a kiddies pool in a wierd leafy corner too. The inside of the hotel has a bar area and restaurant. The food in the restaurant is lovely - especially the chips and bbq sauce that comes with it, though make sure you try the otehr food, especially the speciality pan on the left hand side of the serving area. Entertainment is ok, not the best, there's good games for children though the children tend to go a bit wild and fight among themselves. The bar staff are friendly and will appear pretty much straight away with your drinks once you've ordered them. My one complaint - the staff can be a bit unhelpful, though the retaurant staff are really friendly.

4 Star Hotel. One of the better ones in Salou. Staff very friendly..3 Pools…read moreBreakfast overall good. Big variety. Just 2 major complaints! Our room nr was 346. 2 twin beds pushed together. That in itself not a problem but it was rock hard. After 7 days my body feels bruised from sleeping on n "sement slab". Next major complaint is Absolutely no English channels on tv except for a few scattered short conversations here and there. I dont understand why they have a ton of other languages accommodated and no English. English Speaking tourist world wide make up at least 50% of Salou' s tourism and yet they give us an impression they clearly don't like us by not including at least one BBC Channel or News Channel of the States. Bring your own hair dryer as well. The one attached to wall in bathroom is absolutely useless and resembles a vacuum cleaner! Best restaurant around corner from Hotel Las Vegas is "Olivers"! Best Irish and English Breakfast and Dinners is Superb!!
