Might keep you from behaving like a Wildsau in the future. After my interaction with this rude saleswoman, my husband and I quickly departed and spent our money elsewhere. It's exceedingly rare to encounter a German -- especially in Bavaria -- who doesn't appreciate when foreigners speak German. My German isn't fluent, but I can effectively communicate my point. I'm sorry not sorry that this old Wildsau lacked the emotional intelligence to understand what I meant by "Ich suche" because my husband, who is Oberpfälz born and bred, had not yet taught me "nur schauen." That's okay; we went to the shoe section of a nearby department store. The saleslady there was super courteous and friendly, and she understood my Kinderdeutsch perfectly. She even chuckled a little bit in the same way I chuckle whenever a non-native English speaker says something unintentionally cute in English. Er auch: Graublaue Vollederstiefletten - was kann man sich mehr wünschen? Trotz Weihnachtsandrang war das Personal nett und hilfreich und ich liebe diesen sonderbare, eklektischen Mischung in all den Abteilungen. Was mich aber wirklich beeindruckt hat war, dass ich meine EC-Karte dort vergessen habe und heute wieder zuhause in Wien etwas panisch angerufen habe - mit dem Ergebnis, dass man sie mir zuvorkommend zuschicken wird. Ich kann nur sagen: Weiter so und ein MUSS für jeden Regensburgbesuch, 100 Punkte!
