Let me start by saying I have never written a bad review in my life. We used this DJ service for our beach wedding in April. I read a lot of good reviews of this company before booking them, but I wanted to post a review for anyone considering them for any outdoor event. And since they are based in Pensacola, a beach town, you would think that they would be familiar with how to deal with outdoor events. If your event is indoors, you're probably fine. I could write a book about how horrible our experience was, and how they almost ruined our reception. It rained most of the day, so of course we were concerned about every detail of our entirely outdoor wedding. The DJ we had seemed flustered and very overwhelmed with the idea of providing sound for our ceremony on the beach, and it didn't seem to be rain related. All we needed was microphones and sound for the preacher, us and two guitarists. Well long story short he never got his act together and we had NO sound for our ceremony. I was a happy bride and oblivious though, and figured the water was loud anyway and people may not have been able to hear, let's just get to the reception. Ohhhhh the reception. So it rained right after the ceremony and into about 30 minutes of our reception, which was under 2 huge tents with plenty of room for the DJ. There was some god awful elevator music playing for the first part which I also just assumed would get better after everything got started. Wrong. I still was enjoying myself and trying not to focus on what was going on with him and the whole music situation. My wedding planner tells me it's time for our first dance. The first dance with my new husband... And HE PLAYS THE WRONG VERSION OF THE SONG. And then acts like I'm crazy for being like ummm this is wrong..?! So we dance to some random live version of our Van Morrison song. After the first dances with my dad and my husband's mom, he chose to LEAVE the reception because he couldn't be sure his equipment was safe, even though the skies cleared up and he refused to move under a tent. So he packs up his stuff and leaves. But my amazing wedding planner insisted he leave one of the speakers so we could play something for our guests. So my bartender sat by this one speaker all night and played music from an iPod so we could dance... (This is the kicker)... WHILE THE DJ SAT IN HIS CAR AND WAITED ON HIS SPEAKER. I didn't know this until after the fact and I still just cannot believe it. I have never experienced someone so unprofessional and so rude as to sit in his car while a rain-free reception was going on. After all was said and done, we talked a few times with Ramsey the owner, and received a VERY small refund. We had NO SOUND at our ceremony and 3 songs (one of which was wrong) at our reception. I felt that we deserved a full refund. So all this to say, if you're having an outdoor event, look elsewhere if you want sound from the DJ you're hiring! read more
