I have been coming here for over a decade and I am probably healthier than I have been in the last 40 years thanks to a doctors who cares about the whole person and a medical group that doesn't give up on their patient. If I had had the privilege of knowing this group of medical professionals years ago, I wouldn't spend so long, not working and living on disability, so that people understand being on disability is not a privilege and it sucks so when you find someone who can help you get back to being a normal person it really means the world. Have been here several times with chronic conditions and injuries, as well as even dangerous infections, and I'm always treated with care here. Only complaint is the same complaint I've had with every hospital, and it's that if you're admitted, I wish that they would give more of a heads up about being discharged rather than "OKAY YOU'RE BEING DISCHARGED!". Transportation isn't easy to get when you live 2+ hours away.

Outrageous Billing for 5-Minute Wart Removal…read more I went to Sanford for a quick wart removal on my finger a basic procedure involving liquid nitrogen that took less than 5 minutes. No consultation, no diagnostics, no complexity. They billed my insurance $348 for it. After contacting billing and speaking with a director, they attempted to justify it by citing things like malpractice insurance and provider licensing as if that explains charging 20x 1700% markup what an over-the-counter wart treatment costs at a pharmacy. I formally disputed the charge on July 29, requested an itemized bill and CPT codes, and gave them 15 business days to respond. Still no answer. This is price gouging, plain and simple. If Sanford can't provide fair, transparent billing for basic services, why should any patient trust them?
