I had a geothermal system malfunction which is under warranty and called Whiddons to repair it…read more They wanted to charge me 6-8 hours labor just to process the warranty because they dont carry my brand! I called the manufacturer and they stated it could be done in minutes. What a rip off! 3 week prior, i called them and spent over 400 dollars for a freeon refill. I was told it might or might not leak out. They never took the necessary steps to find the leaks. 3 weeks later, it leaked out. Another repairman at least took to steps to diagnosis the problem which whiddon's should have done but failed to do. Very poor service. I recommend staying away from these folks.

I called Raney & Sons in July, because my A/C unit was blowing hot air instead of cold. They turned…read moreoff my heater (I guess there was a problem with the wiring), replaced a couple of parts, and got my A/C working again. They said to call them back in October because I would need my heater turned back on and it would need some work as well. Well, in early September my A/C started blowing hot air again, and I have been trying to get a hold of them ever since. They have not been answering my calls and they are not returning them. Recently, every time I call them, it goes straight to voicemail, so I can only assume they have blocked my number rather than respond to me. I know that they are busy, and that's not the problem. If you don't have time to do my job, please at least have the courtesy to call me back and let me know. The way they are ghosting me is very unprofessional. I would have given them a five star rating based on their performance back during the summer, but this drops them to a 1. If you can get them to actually answer the phone and come out, they are great. Otherwise, if they decide they aren't going to help you, too bad, so sad. I do not recommend them, and would advise you to go elsewhere if you want a good chance of getting something done.

I asked him what he did to get it started and he said" Nothing, it just started". He tested the Freon and nothing more and left. The next night it happened again and I called them to come out, but before they arrived it started working again so I called and cancelled. It continued to cut out when ever temperatures dropped. The next week I got the bill in the mail. $150.00 for a service call and a no fix. So I called and asked if they could send out someone more knowledgeable and experienced and because they didn't fix it on the first visit if they could waive the service fee. Boy did I get an ear full. In the end I educated myself online and learned how to diagnose and test it and found out what part was bad. Ordered it online and installed it myself. Job done. All I got from Shannon was a $150.00 charge for a no fix. I'm through with Shannon.
