Despite promoting a holistic approach, my appointments felt no different than a typical rushed doctor's visit. For example, I explained that I already follow a low-glycemic diet, and she handed me a basic low-glycemic diet sheet and suggested I try it, as if she hadn't heard anything I said. The office management is even more concerning. Getting prescriptions often requires multiple phone calls, and referrals are handled very poorly. A few years ago, they called expressing concern that my son might have an autoimmune disease affecting his kidneys. It then took an entire year for Russ to successfully send a referral to a nephrologist. Communication is consistently disorganized. Last year, they called me while I was driving to my son's annual appointment to tell me he was overdue even though we were literally on our way to the appointment. The final straw happened today. We had an appointment scheduled for this morning and last night I realized that we had not received a reminder text. I tried calling them a bunch of times and messaging but they don't have an answering service. My son and I drove 80 minutes for our 10:30 am appointments only to find the office completely closed. The sign on the door clearly states they are open on Fridays from 10 to 1 but no one was there. There was no notice, no answering service, and no way to reach anyone. To make matters worse, when your child is diagnosed with something like an infection, don't expect prescriptions to be sent promptly. In our experience, they often weren't sent until the end of the day, delaying treatment unnecessarily. Unfortunately, after multiple years of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend this practice. Update: Office manager is texting me ON A SUNDAY after already giving me a hard time all afternoon Friday about calling a few times on Friday checking to see if they had opened their phone lines. Apparently they are so inconvenienced that they had a few missed calls when I was the one who wasted 3 hours of my day because they never informed me that my appointment was cancelled. They need to be shut down. Response to their response: Proof of how he has no idea what he's talking about in the photos. I didn't call all afternoon after my appointment. I didn't call all day Sunday. He was texting me Friday and Sunday even though he's claiming it was Saturday. He's claiming I called after hours the night before my appointment. I called at 3:47. They close at 4. I mean I hate putting effort into this at this point but it's ridiculous to have your character questioned over something so dumb. I'm not sure why they would think everyone knows how their phone system works. I had no idea they were going to get a bunch of missed calls to cell phones. I was simply calling hoping that their phones had opened up so I could see if my appointment was still on before dragging two kids to the cape. Apparently I'm entitled for wanting to check on that. And yes it's a long review because we have had a terrible experience at their practice and so has everyone I know. They're crazy thinking I would receive any benefit from lying about this. The staff is extremely caring and provides cheerful, competent assistance to the residents 24 by 7. The rooms are single rooms, which was very important to us. The food is delicious and varied, the view of Plymouth Harbor and the beautifully landscaped and accessible gardens are a great asset. Activities during the day cater to a variety of tastes and abilities. There is a daily chair exercise program and frequent musical entertainment. Living with disability and staying in a communal setting may not be easy, but if it is a necessity, my husband and I highly recommend Newfield.

I wanted to get strong, learn to walk and go home and that is exactly what I got. We accomplished that. I appreciated that they did my laundry and they did it well. The facility was clean, it smelled good, and all the staff were nice and kind. At first I hurt so much and couldn't move, but the staff were gentle and understanding. Now I can move around and do everything I need to do to go home and take care of myself. I can even walk with a cane. I am having my other knee replaced in April so I hope you will save a bed for me!

It has been 1.5 years since my Dad passed and it has taken this long to write a review of this…read moreabsolutely horrific "rehab" my father where my Dad spent 5 weeks October 2024 .The care was horrible, the nurses were mean and not helpful at all. The only person that tried was the PT can't remember his name. We pulled him out of there AMA but he was so depressed and was not improving at all. My Dad had bed sores on the both feet and lower back. He was there for rehab after being hospitalized for kidney issues. He was ambulatory and living on his own and driving prior to hospitalization then became quite deconditioned and needed rehab. The food was inedible and the admission nurse even said that. But that was minor to what he experienced at this horrible facility . The real reason I am writing this is because my Dad had weeping wounds on his legs and I came in to see the room full of flies, landing on his legs and food. The Air conditioning unit was not flush in window with big gaps to the outside (by the way it was October) I went to the nurses station to complain and ask for it to be fixed, the "charge nurse" said they would take of it on Monday, I said that is not acceptable, asked her if they had any duct tape or something to fix it, and she said as I walked away "who does she think I am? I am an RN not a fix it person" well I so happen to be an RN employed at a Boston hospital, so I said well so am I and I had packing tape in my car and fixed the a/c unit to secure from outside. the attitude by almost all of the staff was horrific. the case managers and others were not helpful and had no intentions on dealing with these issues. poor care, bad attitudes, disgusting facility that should be shut down by the state!
