I see by the date this inquiry was submitted quite some time ago, so this might be of no help at all, or maybe you already have the info you're looking for. Regardless, although this clock bears the Ansonia name, that's about where the resemblance to Ansonia ends. Oddly, I just purchased the exact same clock from someone moving out of state and was looking for information about it when I found your post. I'm a clock repairman, so I can tell you a few things on good authority. The movement was made by the German clock company Hermle (at least in mine), and if yours in acting up, probably the most economical way to have it repaired is to replace the movement. Overhauling it requires a lot of hand labor and (in the opinion of many clock repairmen) isn't worth the effort or the money. As best I can tell, there is no "there" there. Our Ansonia clock has long been in need of some adjustments, but the local dealer is long since gone, and I can't verify that a bona fide successor to the original company is still in existence. For clarification, out clock was not made by the original Ansonia Clock Company, which has long been defunct but by some outfit that apparently bought the name.
