We went there today for their GRAND OPENING!!! It was awesome! I had the Peach Bellini - it was great and they had several choices of Mimosas! They had a Whiskey/ Nutella infused coffee (see pic) -yummy! There were several Bloody Mary options some with peppered infused vodka, so they have a kick to them ! We ate the The Floridian omelette(cream cheese and crab meat) and the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, it was insanely good, this came with blueberries and strawberries and whipped cream!!! On top of that we met two of the servers, Cheyenne and the bartender Rebecca- they made it super fun... wish we could have them at a bar back in Iowa !! Gooooo!! We wanted a great breakfast beyond the normal eggs and bacon. This place delivered! Amazing beignets with homemade marmalade. Homemade chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy and omlettes stuffed with unique and tasty toppings. A short walk from the beach. The decor is clean and modern too. Staff was amazing. This breakfast is a splurge. So yummy and get menu choices. Nothing too run of the mill. It is a franchise (I have eaten at the one in Nashville) but you could never tell with the warm, inviting atmosphere. I had the blueberry lemon zest goat cheese pancakes and I almost died from the decadent flavors. A bit pricey but I'd go there again for those pancakes. The spiked coffees are yummy (salted Carmel iced coffee is choice). Really wish there was some blinds to lower when sitting by the windows because the raising sun will blast you a bit. read more

I'll get to the point, Do yourself a favor and get he lobster omelet and be done. moving on, we also had the goat cheese blueberry pancakes, when this hit the table you could smell the freshness of the lemon zest, but not too much to over power, it was a great addition to the blueberries. this was good for what it was, but again that Omelet was crazy good. The coffee wasn't bad, tasted a little light to me. great location, you can park in the lot above for the day and hit the beach a block away after breakfast. This was our first time here but not our last. Everything we ordered was terrific. Even the coffee was really good. I had an omelette with bacon, sausage, onions and peppers that was outstanding. I was there on Monday and sat outside. Brandon my waiter was great. I followed his recommendations Only issue was the eggs were not poached on the Benedict. I like them with the egg runny and there weren't. The city grits were great. Could have just eaten those. I did add some of there Pepper Sauce bear the end. That gave the meal and extra kick. This adorable spot in Clearwater beach is perfect for brunch and a pitcher of their signature mimosas. The atmosphere is welcoming and the big windows at the front of the store make you feel like you're sitting outside, even if you're in the back of the restaurant. Several food and drink options, making it easy for almost anyone to find something they'll enjoy. We had the Cinnamon roll French toast and the lemon custard stuffed French toast. They must of had a bad day. I was excited to order breakfast after looking through there menu, everything after that went downhill fast. We ordered through DoorDash, I got the crawfish bowl with cheese grits and my partner ordered biscuits and gravy. We also ordered 2 orange juices, a coffee, an apple juice, and two teas. All claimed to be fresh. The bill came to almost 90$, seemed a little steep for breakfast but whatever I already invested too much time on it. DoorDash arrived surprisingly fast. It was the wrong order completely. I called and the hostess said she was waiting for me to call. That alone is boggling. I asked if they could fix my order, she said they can't deliver it I would have to call DoorDash again or come pick it up. Hmm. OK. We drove to pick it up. Nothing was offered for our inconvenience. The food was cold, the biscuits and gravy literally had 1 1/2 tablespoons of gravy, and the cheese grits were STILL MISSING. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I went here with my husband on a Tuesday late morning/early afternoon. It was not busy when we went, only 4 or so other tables. I started off with the tomatillo bloody mary. It's made with tomatillos instead of traditional tomatoes, so it's green in color. It had low to medium spice. It came with a carrot stick, asparagus spear, olive, jalapeno slice, and pepperocini. I loved the flavors. My husband (whose favorite food is pizza & burgers) thought it tasted "too healthy." The server brought us a half order of biscuit beignets that came with a side of marmalade/jam. They were different from the kind I've had before, but I enjoyed them. For our main course, I had a special dish, the churros french toast combo. I don't eat meat, so they let me do grits as a side instead of sausage/bacon. The french toast was so freakin awesome. My husband kept trying to steal it away. He had the biscuits and gravy. His dish was super tasty. They make the gravy fresh to order. He regretted not asking for more gravy. The service was phenomenal. Every front of the house employee helped us by answering questions, getting boxes, running the food, etc. Side note: parking garage next to/behind the cafe is $2 per hour. I am amazed and astounded on how bad our experience was. Especially knowing that the safety Harbor location is very good, has great service, and is just a wonderful place to be. I was very excited to learn that ABE had Clearwater Beach location finally. But after this experience I'm not sure I would be going back. We got there about 1035am in the morning and was quoted 5 to 10 minutes for six people. The hostesses were very nice and accommodating to letting us know what our wait time was going to be. Now being a large table we understand seating guests with smaller parties ahead of us, but what I didn't understand was why a seven top that came after us got sat before us. No big deal but what the big deal was that we didn't end up getting sat until 11am. The hostesses came asked us if we would mind sitting outside which it was a nice breezy day so we didn't mind sitting out there. Well after sitting there for 15 minutes with nobody coming by saying hi or anything I go to the host stand to bring it to someone's attention. Coincidentally the server showed up and I was notified he was there. When I got to the table the server apologized. Even though I believed he was sorry, his attitude was less than the stellar attitude that ABE is known for. Nonetheless we ordered our drinks which included iced coffee and orange juice, as well as ordered our food to keep from waiting longer. The server brings us water and we start to relax and just enjoy the beautiful Sunday. Our food arrives in a good amount of time and we start to eat. Next thing you know, here come the orange juice and iced coffee that we ordered with our drinks. We had forgot about it because it had been 15 minutes since we ordered. No apologies or anything. The final straw for me was the entree I ordered, biscuits and gravy, was lukewarm, bland and the biscuits were hard. The server noticed no one in the party really are their food, with exception to my four year old daughter who smashed her chocolate chip pancakes, but failed to get the manager or ask what the issues were. Cute and wide menu of elaborate breakfasts (waffles bananas foster, etc). Service was good and I was happy to have gluten free options. I ordered the berry pancakes, gluten free and was disappointed. Pancake had a weird GF aftertaste. I actually forgot that they were berry because I didn't run into one until I was about a third of the way in. I was going to give this place 4 stars because it was your average breakfast place but keep reading and you will see why it ends up being 5 stars. The waiter at first seemed not interested in being there (I think that was wrong). I had the American skillet or egg or something like that, it was very good. My wife had some chicken biscuit dish it was so so, some of the chicken pieces were good some not. At the end, we were debating an order of Beignets but told the waiter we were too full. As he brought our receipt back after we paid, he also brought us 4 Beignets to go with the sauce on the house....that was very nice.
