Tried out this lovely brunch spot while browsing around for a bite to eat. The best item we tried was the lemon custard french toast which was absolutely amazing - sweet and sour blended nicely with fresh fruit and a touch of whipped cream. The Crab Benedict was also pleasantly savory and cooked with a good runny yolk. The Omelette was also good but could use more seasoning in the egg portion. I've been here multiple times and each time the food has been pretty good. Service can be hit or miss sometimes, and oftentimes the hostess girls have pretty off-putting attitudes. This last time (I don't remember his name), our server was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive all-around and made sure we had everything we needed - came by for refills, boxes, checked on us after we received our food, check, etc. The coffee was surprisingly good for cafe-style brew. The OJ was tasty, though it just feels like enhanced bottled OJ. I had the Hey Lucy omelette, and while the overall flavor was on point, the chorizo inside wasn't spiced very well, and towards the middle of the omelette, there was a giant blob of meat. I think on the menu it says it's filled with avocado. They actually give you maybe a third of an avocado on top. Would've been nice if they sliced it since it wasn't super ripe and a little difficult to cut with a fork. Boyfriend had the Cinnamon French Toast and, while he loves sweets, he said it was much too sweet, especially by the end of the meal. The cinnamon swirl bread they used was really good. It was completely drenched in syrup when they served it. The eggs and bacon they serve on the side is nothing to write home about. We split a half order of the beignets (you can add a 1/2 order for $4.29ish if you order their Signatures). They were coated in powdered sugar which really complemented the beignets. Best way to describe them is a softer, fluffier scone. They do have a heavy dough taste inside. It comes with orange marmalade but the powdered sugar was so sweet, you couldn't taste the orange at all. Some of their items are really good while others are seriously meh. read more

All I can say is beignets and chilaquiles... food is spot on and our new go-to spot. They do however get wayy too busy on holidays and sometimes weekends and won't accept orders for pick-up over the phone which is a problem if we don't want to wait all morning for a table. I called and the employees told me that there are no vegan options. I'm guessing they cook their veggies with butter since they said it's not vegan. Whoever runs the Yelp for this restaurant should consider removing the "Vegan Options" from their Yelp page . Another broken egg is a very average place to have breakfast in Burbank. The options are limited so they are very very busy and give you a number. The hostesses are a little snippy. You can check in on Yelp and get on the waiting list I wouldn't repeat because I don't feel that it's very healthy and I don't like the breakfast choices but my boyfriend likes it there hence the 2 star rating. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe.... A very busy breakfast spot in Burbank!!! They seem to be the only breakfast place that opens at 7am in the area. Let's talk about the food... I had the Brisket Benedict w/ Potatoes... It was not your traditional Benny, this one had couple of thinly sliced brisket over a jalapeno waffle topped with poached eggs with hollandaise sauce drizzled with a bit of bbq sauce. It was savory & delicious!! The fried cubed potatoes were pretty basic but went well with the richness of the benny. Now about the drinks... I had an iced caramel latte that was served in a very small mason jar, flavor was very light. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the jar since it was half filled with ice. My friend had ordered a cup of coffee for herself. She said it was your average cup. We sat in their patio area. Overall it's a nice breakfast spot. Was in the area and looking for a breakfast place so I took my fellow Yelpers advice and they did not disappoint me; thanks! Hubby and I started with coffee that were served in cute mugs. He ordered the sunrise spinach scramble breakfast and I ordered the supreme omelette. His came with potatoes and an English muffin and he added a side of biscuit beignets, which I thought were too hard and dry. My dish also came with an English muffin and potatoes and I added on a side of lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. The omelette was cooked too hard. The star of our meal were the pancakes! So fluffy and delicious; will definitely order them again. Our waiter was nice and friendly and recommended some dishes to try. Will come again to try out other items on the menu. Worst experience ever. They prioritize people who check in on Yelp and let them skip you in line if you check in in person. We checked in in person and were told it was a 20-30 minute wait. 20 minutes later we were told there were ELEVEN groups of people ahead of us in line and the wait had INCREASED to 25-35 minutes. There were four available tables outside and maybe two groups of people waiting and they refused to seat us. They finally admitted that people who check in on Yelp were skipping us in line. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We tried to make a reservation on Yelp for 7+ people, but it said to see host. We called the place to put our name on the waitlist and we got the run arounds and took us around 3 call backs to finally do it. (Shouldn't of been this hard). Once we got to the place we waited around 30 min to get seated. Once we got seated, the waiter was nice. He forgot to put someone's dish on our order, but he did what he could to make it all better. I got the cinammon rolls French toast and what I really liked was that it wasn't so sweet, but had great fruity flavor. I got the vanilla spiked cold brew and it was good. What I appreciated most about the cafe was the great service while my friend and I visited for breakfast. That, and the fact that it was quiet which I appreciated in the early morning. There's not much to say in terms of ambiance or decor. The food, in my opinion, was quite overpriced for what I ordered. If I come here again, I'll be true to my preferences and give a different menu item a try, but my Hey Lucy Omelet was nothing amazing, especially considering the price tag. On a positive note, our order arrived quickly and our server was attentive all throughout our meal, up until brunch time came and more people filled up the patio. Where do you start. Honestly, Burbank continues to amaze me with the sheer number of restaurants that absolutely kill it, KILL IT, for breakfast/brunch. Another Broken Egg Cafe is the real deal people, and like many other places I have reviewed it is well worth the wait. I do, however, highly recommend you join the waitlist. It makes the experience much easier process and allows you to find parking! ;) Let's get to the heart of the matter though. Even though I reside in California, my Southern roots are always in play when it comes to true staples in that cuisine. So when I look at a menu and it offers "Shrimp N' Grits" I am all in! Yes, this is dangerous and is kind of like getting a dish that your Mom knocked out of the park, it just never seems to meet the challenge. The same goes for Southern dishes, and Shrimp and Grits is one that sounds simple but is really hard to pull off. Trust me, I have had some really bad Shrimp N' Grits in my day. Now, let me make this clear "no self respecting southerner uses instant grits" (yes it's a My Cousin Vinny reference, but wait there's more...) Another Broken Egg is not making "magic grits" (the other MCV reference), they are delivering a grit that quite possibly one of the best that I have ever had. Smooth, creamy, plenty of bite, and most importantly flavor! They soak them in what they call a "low country sauce", and I really don't care what they call it. It's damn good. They then add andouille sausage, red peppers, and gulf shrimp to top it all off. And as my Nana would say,"Bless their heart" for putting this on the menu. Don't let all of that fool you into just wanting one thing, because we also had the Lemon Custard Stuffed French Toast. It's on the seasonal menu and is absolutely mouth watering incredible. It's exactly what you hope for from the name. It's French toast stuffed with lemon custard, topped with strawberries, whipped cream, toasted almonds, and salted caramel. If your mouth isn't watering after reading that, then this dish and life is not for you! Hahahaha! Cute breakfast cafe in Burbank that I got to visit with my friends. It wasn't too crowded, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Their breakfast options were great and had terrific portions. While breezing through Yelp looking for a different place to eat at, I came across this place because of its catchy name. Free parking is available across the street from the restaurant, which is next to the City Hall. Upon entering, you'll notice the high ceilings and welcoming staff. Depending on your preface, indoor or outdoor dining is available. The menu includes something for everyone, plus our waitress Lesley offered her recommendations. Off her recommendation, I had the club sandwich. The club sandwich was filled with several fresh ingredients, but one of them made the bottom bread kind of mushy. I can't determine which one it was, but overall it was tasty. And don't hesitate to get their fries, they're spot on delicious. After we were done eating, I thought about it for a second, none of us ordered anything with eggs. I guess we'll have to come back and try something with eggs. Their coffee mugs are nice too. I ate about half of one piece (comes with two pieces), and the person I went with finished the whole thing (only to complain about a stomach ache later lol). So it's definitely good and fun if it's your first time trying it, but also definitely something that can be split between 4 people. Service was regular, nothing spectacular nothing terrible. Had this place bookmarked for a while. Although parking can be a hassle, we got quite lucky getting parking right up front for an hour. Arrived and there was about a 25 minute wait, which allowed us about a good half hour to order and eat. We were seated within 15 minutes, got our order in quickly and served all within the next 10-15 minutes. The restaurant is a lot bigger than what I imagined it to look from the outside. There's a full bar, and very spacious, and was not cramped at all. Noise level was average, and aesthetically pleasing. Service is outstanding. It was a rainy Friday around 11am and we were able to park on the stret. I was surprised that it was so packed and the wait for 2 for a table inside or out was about 45 minutes. During our wait, we were lucky enough to snag 2 bar seats. The bartender was friendly but immediately forgot our order and had to ask again which was fine but as long as he didn't forget our drinks. We ordered a bloody Maria and Bloody Mary, both were standard. I ordered the short ribs because it said seasonal but and duh...short ribs and my friend got the shrimp and grits. The food took a little while and honestly I was disappointed with my short ribs. First of all, not what I thought it would look like and the meat was dry and chewy, my friend enjoyed her shrimp and grits though. We also got a couple coffee drinks, the Irish coffee and salted caramel spiked core brew and we really enjoyed them. Solid spot. I came in with 3 friends on a Sunday at 10am and it was certainly the place to be. We were quickly seated and quickly served. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles and it was better than I thought. I should've asked for more syrup but I appreciate they didn't over do it. The chicken were tenders so no bones, which is perfect. It's the holiday season so they had Christmas music playing BUT OH MAN! it was super loud!! My friends and I felt like we were at the club in order to talk loud enough to hear each other. Hey what's up yelpers ? Hope my review finds you well. The following review of the restaurant is broken up into different categories: food, environment, service, price and overall thoughts. Food: I've never been disappointed the many times I've come here to eat. Today I ordered the Blackberry Stuffed French Toast, Turkey Sausage and Scrambled Eggs with Jack Cheese and a Hot Chocolate. The BlackBerry Stuffed French Toast is French toast stuffed with blackberry cream cheese, topped with fresh mango whipped cream and rum butter sauce drizzle. It tasted as delicious as it looked. I didn't have to add any syrup it was definitely sweet on its own. The portion was good enough to eat by yourself and still be able to share a few bites with others who might be curious. The Turkey Sausage and Scrambled Eggs were good, nothing WOWing ( made up word), but satisfying to say the least. And that Hot Chocolate, was definitely delicious. The white cream they used was more solid than most whip creams establishment use on their hot chocolates but I enjoyed just spooning out the whip before actually drinking. (4 stars) Environment: Another Broken Egg is located in Burbank near other restaurants, residential and the city hall. This place is in a great location considering the cleanliness and safety it provides. The actual inside is open and clean. Nothing about the actual furnishes, architecture and lighting grasp my attention. (4 stars) Service: The staff were friendly. The waiter made genuine conversation and not text book customer service talk which was nice. Getting a seat was no wait. Which is at time's rare because of how busy they are. Once we left around 11am there were many groups waiting outside. (4 stars) Price: Compared to other breakfast spots in the nearby area they are okay. When considering price on the smallest item we have to put in consideration the location, the company's expenses, the labor making the items, ingredients, etc. when considering all this the price is accurate but I always refer back to the actual taste of the food and it was a bit overpriced on certain items (like the basic eggs and turkey sausage). I know I'm confusing. Lol. (4 stars) Overall: The spot is always a go to for breakfast or brunch. They have enough of a diverse menu to choose your favorite breakfast items and enjoy every bite. If you're looking for an aesthetic brunch venue, this ain't the place. Came for Sunday brunch for my aunt's birthday and we waited an hour for our table. We did have 15 people in our party so that's understandable. They don't take reservations tho. After being seated our waitress was very nice and gave great service. She was amazing. Now the food... I'm not too into breakfast food so I got the ham and mozzarella panini. I love sandwiches so I was excited. But let me tell you, I was less than impressed with what I got.
