Wait time is horrendous for making just a couple heads. We waited in the parking lot a good thirty minutes

These days there are a plethora of Detroit area cigar shops, private clubs, restaurant patios and…read morelounges to suit many cigar aficionados. Smoky's Allen Park is one of the best shop/lounges I've frequented throughout the past several years. The humidor is top tier. You'll find nearly any brand of cigar you'd like to smoke. They carry every popular and well-known brand, house blends and lesser know gems. Frank, his family, and staff are really good people. Outstanding customer service matters, and these folks are kind, giving, and they treat everyone well. There are three seating areas to sit and indulge. In the front of the shop, there is a small bar top at the window. There is a large seating area within the thick of things, where you can watch the game, work on your laptop, or people watch while you smoke. Lastly, there is the lounge where you can tuck away awhile and kick up your feet when the place is quiet; or enjoy this private section with a group of friends. The shop is located on the vibrant Southfield Rd just shy of I75. It's within a strip of stores offering lots of parking. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within the area. Members are allowed to bring in refreshments to enjoy during their cigar smoking session. Also, there are soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. Frank hosts a few cigar brand events per year, and there are other gatherings of cigar lovers as well. Follow their social media accounts to keep abreast of the happenings. You'll find lots of home and travel humidors, cigar tools and pipes for sale as well as other smoke shop options and accessories.

The owner mr. Arabo is a great guy and very helpful. Give the place a try you will not be disappointed.

This is one of my all-time favourite liquor stores. I don't live in the area but many of my friends…read moreand relatives do, so I'm in the neighborhood often enough. And if I am, this is the place I come to if I need/want to pick a few things up. First of all, the staff is amazing. It's a family-oriented business and they're all very nice. Also, they'll remember you, and what you like - you become a regular here, not a customer. If you want something they don't have, tell them and they'll stock it. It's great. Also, they do free money orders, which is an excellent feature that I've taken advantage of many times to pay rent. Onto the other stuff. They have your expected supply of snacks, munchies, and last minute household needs up and down their aisles. They also sell some more unique things, such as some of the best baklava I've had. The beer selection is mostly the same crappy lagers you find in any American convenience store, but they DO have a small craft beer section. However, where they lack with craft beer, they make up for in the incredible wine and liquor selection, and at minimum prices. It's impressive. I've hit it up many times. Also, they do a lot of promotions here - it's not unusual to come in and find a vendor sampling out shots of some new liquor (flavoured rums, tequila, you name it) or a firework sale in the parking lot if the season is right. It's just a welcoming, organic place that seeks to meet the needs of its clientele and does it brilliantly.
