The day of my visit, a fire was burning, the sky was black with smoke and ash. Hot winds were blowing, the smell of ozone. Was it the beginning of the end? Nope. The start of the Zombie Apocalypse? Naw...The Gates of Hell opening up? Wrong on all accounts, folks.
It was just another lovely day in beautiful Sun Valley.
Folks, this area is bleak and desolate, I mean "Call of Duty", "The Walking Dead" or "Fear the Walking Dead" desolate.
Or in my case, I recall "I Don't Live Today" where Hendrix said:
"No sun comin' through my windows
Feel like I'm livin' at the bottom of a grave
Oh, there ain't no life nowhere"
So I omitted some of the lyrics, but you get the idea. Ok, so onto to review, the store itself is dreary and grimy. And somewhat dim inside. Prices were ok and a so so selection. The guy behind the counter was friendly enough. No lottery tickets here though.
As a side note, there is a small Mexican restaurant/counter service here as well, but I didn't eat, so I cannot review. I'll just say it smelled pretty good. If you are looking to add to your collection of "Homies" figures, they have you covered. Didn't see any rags, sports team hats, aside from the aforementioned "Homies"
Oh and for selfie purposes there is a giant stuffed wolf on display as you walk in. The parking lot is an adventure as there are some denizens who are just hanging out. And there is a tire place next door too, but I didn't see any pitbulls around.
So yep this a 5 star establishment all the way! read more
