By far the coolest bar that I have ever been to. It was slightly difficult to find at first - tucked in between winding alleyways in a seemingly ghosttownish part of town - but, it adds to the mysterious feel and is well worth the initial confusion. Upon entering, there's a lot of Anonymous (the hacker group) memorabilia and 4chan-related internet humor. It's simultaneously dark and hysterical - it's the ultimate cross-section of classy, but clever and bitingly humorous. I loved it, everything about the ambiance is beyond perfect. The drink menu, along with the ambiance, is the best thing about this bar (as it should be for all bars). There's a large variety of drinks, gin and whiskey making up most of the menu; but, there are a few vodka, tequila and mezcal options as well. The specialty cocktail menu is definitely noteworthy. I ordered the Scarlet Rose and it was incredible - light, fruity and full of flavor, even down to the foam. Seriously, I've never tasted foam that flavorful and tasty - the best cocktail I've ever had, and I can't wait to go back to Anonymous Bar to order it again and explore the rest of the menu. read more

Just come here. It's amazing and filled with so many surprises. This is, by far, the bar that I have ever come to. The ambiance is amazing and the theme is pure magic. Where else can you go to a V for Vendetta themed bar??? This place was wonderful! Very cool artwork all over the walls. Inside the furniture was very plush and rich, really lending to the atmosphere. The drinks were interesting, to say the least. I'm not a huge alcohol drinker, but I did enjoy the couple I tried. You've got to order a drink in order to unlock the secret drink menu, which is just the coolest thing I've ever seen! If nothing on the menu tickles your fancy, you can describe a drink to the bartender and they will whip something up for you. Service was fantastic. One of the waiters was doing magic tricks and goofing around to entertain us. Since it was a slow night, none of the waiters has the Guy Fawkes mask. They were kind enough to put one on at the request of my friend. Really awesome and unique place to go. Stop by for a wonderful experience. read more

This bar is kind of like the first Harry Potter movie. In order to advance, you have to solve a few puzzles, starting with the challenge of simply finding the place. (Hint: Your GPS will help but you'll still need to use your wits.) Once there, you'll find a sophisticated, if showy speakeasy with a staff that is equal parts knowledgeable mixologist and agreeable ham. You want to dislike the over-the-top preparations and equally theatrical presentations, but the drinks are damned good and the crowd too interesting to mount much resistance. In any other bar, if someone served me a Manhattan in a blood bag, I'd bail on principle. Here, the atmosphere and service win you over. read more

We were here two weeks ago, Prague was our 4th stop on our honeymoon. We wanted to find a cocktail place to break up several nights of great beer so we wandered over. The bar has a fun atmosphere, it helps that I throughly enjoy the graphic novel and the movie though. However even if I didn't the drinks we had were outstanding. We leave for New York in the morning and after 9 cities in 9 countries and several great cocktail bars I think we both agree that our best drink was here. He had the Fifth of November and I had a drink with a butterfly in the name. If we had another we would have gone back for another round. Came here a few months ago with a friend while in Prague for a few days.We made a reservation, which was clearly the right choice, as were seated right by the door and watched a handful of parties get turned away. I really did have a good time here...the drinks were amazing, so inventive and delicious. I even told our waiter that I liked bourbon and they whipped something up for me special...it was amazing! The vibe is very cool, they play great music, it seems very classy, yet unpretentious. But I felt just a little bit unwelcome. Our menus got taken away after each drink, as if they didn't expect us to order any more. We each ordered 3 drinks, so it was tedious to keep having to ask for the menus back. Also, the space between my chair and the person behind me was quite small, and I'm a huge klutz, so while getting up to use the bathroom, I knocked into the table and spilled a glass of water all over the table. I felt HORRIBLE and did my best to clean it up, but the staff seemed kind of peeved, like I was a huge inconvenience for spilling WATER, which made me super embarrassed and put me off for the rest of the night. We probably would have stayed longer had they been a little kinder. The place and the drinks were great, but the service made me feel a little out of place. read more

This place is an all around winner. Great themed bar in the heart of Prague. It is not easy to find as it is tucked away just behind a courtyard off if the street. Once you walk through the courtyard, and find the entrance and go inside you immediately see why this bar is called anonymous. The attention to detail in this bar is spectacular. The V for Vendetta theme, also known as Guy Fawke, is perfectly executed and lends itself nicely to this bar. The Bar is decorated wonderfully, but not in an overwhelming or cheesy way. I won't ruin the surprise for you, but when you do go, look closely at the menu and if you figure out the right questions to ask, or the right words to say you may be able to unlock secret menus with additional items. There was good music playing in the background, and when I say in the background that's what I mean. The music was not loud enough to disrupt conversation with the person you are at the bar with, but it was just loud enough to create the perfect backdrop. Of course you go to a bar to drink, and the drinks here are nothing short of perfection. My wife and I each ordered 3 or 4 drinks, and every single one of them was terrific. The server was on top of his game, and the young lady who continued to refill all the water glasses and the place was also spot on. I can't say enough good things about this bar. If I find myself back in Prague this will be a definite stop for me. If you find yourself in Prague I highly recommend you give this place a try. read more

Heard great things about this place. Walked in on Saturday evening with a friend. One of the waitresses told us there was no table. A couple of seconds later several people were leaving, we got excited, but was told that there was still no table for two people. This is a cocktail bar for god sake, with plenty of space, why can't people just get a cocktail or two drinking while standing? The rude attitude of the waitress certainly didn't help. I'd be more than happy to bring my money somewhere else. *thanks for responding Bara L. My problem is that the waitress did not even bother to explain to me that I could or should wait for a little bit for a table. She was just plain cold and unfriendly and rude. We went here on a Wednesday night to get drinks. Finding this bar was a bit tricky as it was hidden from the Main Street. However, I think this is something they planned for it to be a bit hidden as this is not a stereotypical tourist bar. The atmosphere was nice since not a lot of people were there. The decor is also very nice with velour seats and modern street art. We got to enjoy 2 very cool drinks: one was a mixed mint drink with absinthe and the other was a mixed rum drink. I won't spoil the drink delivery but it was definitely a superb experience for us both. Our waiter was friendly also. I highly recommend coming to this bar for a unique experience you will not get anywhere else in Prague and the rest of the world! read more

Wonderfully kitschy. Very much an American speakeasy feel (for any of us Yanks traveling in Prague) that doesn't disappoint. Order your drink, ask for more, answer questions, get secret menus, and continue advancing until you're nice and wobbly. Also, expect big-city cocktail prices here, there are no 40 crown beers. It's all 150-300 crown drinks. Also, it's a tiny bit hard to find, but not really. Trust your maps, go exploring, and you'll get there just fine. Don't let anyone tell you it's actually hard to find. Go adventuring. Also don't read below unless you want a few spoilers ruined for you. Rest assured it's a great place, but you should go in at least a little blind to just experience it. We were sat, it was fairly empty, dimly lit. We were surrounded by tables of Americans, which was surprising. We ordered our first drinks and happily drank away, taking in the atmosphere and eavesdropping on conversations nearby. When we were ready for round 2, we ordered "The Key" (spoiler alert, it's a secret thing you'll need to do to move forward in the mystery menu process) but were told that they don't do that in the winter. Instead, he asked us a question - Did we know when Guy Fawkes Day was. Of course we did, as that's the theme of the entire place. Answering correctly netted us a pair of Viewmasters where the disc of pictures were each an item on the Level 2 Menu. We each ordered the Codename 47, a Hitman franchise themed cocktail. The server brought us the drinks, in a golden Guy Fawkes mask, on silver trays. He then reached into his back pocket and pulled out a toy pistol so realistic you'd be shot by an American cop, cocked it, and set it on the tray. He did it for the other drink on the other tray, did a small bow, and left. Wonderful, super cool and fun, and I can't wait to visit again when we're back in Prague. read more

By far the best bar i visited on my central Europe trip. The bartenders and our drink server Peter were amazing. They put on a great show. The atmosphere is top notch.. it only holds probably 60 people and is packed the 2 nights we were there. Hidden in Old Town and is well worth the visit. Its behind the 2 big doors. Dont really see a sign. Our table got the Vs Blood so we could have the IV drink. Me not being a drinker wasnt something for me but you would have to order that drink just to see the set up. And for $6-7 is totally worth it. when most beers/drinks cost like $2 other places, this place is a lil more expensive but make it up with the show they put on. read more

Cool bar. Officially the theme is V for Vendetta/Anonymous but it's actually not that prominent. The indoor bar looks more like a prohibition style cocktail bar with velvet couches, long drapes and jazz songs playing in the background. (Actually lots of jazz remixes of tunes which are internet-famous) And the crowd is surprisingly non-geeky. The drink menu is in the same style - oldschool classics and classics with custom twists. Anonymous is a wonderful, unique experience with delicious drinks and great entertainment. We loved it so much we actually went two out of the three nights we were in Prague! This bar is really anonymous because it was difficult to find , even people working on the same street didn't know where it was located. When we arrived there was a short line which turned long pretty quickly. Reservations are preferred and it seems they have more tables for groups vs two people. We had Ana as our server and she was awesome!!! We opted not to have any drinks from the menu and asked for bartender choice. Only do this at a bar with experience bartenders. Bartender choice for those who don't know is, you tell the bartender what liquor and flavours you like and then they make your drink. They have a secret menu that you can only see with UV light and a good selection of other cocktails. It was refreshing to go to an establishment that takes pride in the presentation of the cocktails and service. I just have to say this again service was exceptional as mentioned Ana and the bartender were impressive.
