Definitely worth the trip. A couple friends took me to this shop and Joe found the ideal wig for me. My hair never came back fully after chemo and I wanted a decent wig; my family and friends all complimented me when they saw me wearing this new wig. It looks very natural. My mom went to 5 shops across Northeast Ohio trying to find a wig that made her feel human while she goes through chemo. Everywhere she went, sales people were INCREDIBLY insensitive, pushy, disinterested, unknowledgeable, and/or overpriced. That's what we learned to expect from this endeavor. The second we were greeted by the older man at Ann's Wig Shop, we could tell this one would be different. He listened to what she wanted, grabbed two wigs, and sat her down. She was on the fence about the second one, but then he offered to customize it for her, thinning out parts that were too full for her frame, with no obligation or expectation to buy at all! He made us feel comfortable, asked about her treatment and shared his own family's struggles with cancer. He explained where he was thinning and how it would suit her needs better - and when he was done, it was EXACTLY what she wanted! She loved it! She felt like herself again. And THEN he offered to work the same magic on the Cleveland Clinic freebie wig she had walked in with! She walked out of there with two wigs that made her feel good, for less than half of what she was being sold at other shops for the exact same monofilament synthetic hair. This man made a really difficult time for my mom SO much easier, and he did it with grace and kindness. That's what one should expect from wig shopping. I won't recommend any of the other stores we went to, but I'll sing the praises of Ann's Wig Shop to anyone who will listen. read more

Joe made shopping for my wig before I undergo chemotherapy, which I was dreading, a pleasurable and fun experience. He is very understanding and patient. He knew exactly what I was looking for and found me a wig that looks so much like my real hair that my daughter didn't know I had it on. I ended up buying one for everyday and one for fun. read more

We stumbled onto Ann's last year. It's hard buying your first wig... feels incredibly vulnerable. My wife was dealing with a lot of shame about needing one in the first place and I just wanted to help her to feel better about herself. Joe, the owner, made her feel comfortable and helped her find a wig that was in our price range and looked great in terms of color and cut. When she expressed interest in a wig that wouldn't have looked ideal with her face shape, he was not afraid to gently redirect her so that she ultimately walked out the door looking great and feeling confident. Joe taught her how to style and take care of her new hair and he even offered to cut it once it was looking old and worn. She's a lot more comfortable buying hair now that she knows she can count on Joe to help her find the right style. I hope he never retires. In terms of stock, Joe carries a wide range of wigs but doesn't stock the really low end brands... Quality is important to him. He has products for all skin tones and also carries wig care products as well as other relevant accessories. read more

I just lost my hair to Chemotherapy and felt very vulnerable as well. I had been to another wig shop and tried on a half a dozen wigs but nothing appealed to me. When I walked into Ann's I saw that it was stocked with hundreds of wigs. The look of the store isn't impressive, there is nothing fancy, but the owner is amazing. I showed him a picture of how I used to look with hair and he immediately pulled a wig that turned out to be exactly what I wanted. He trimmed it to my face and told me how to take care of it. He is such a sweet man, and he made me feel like a million bucks. read more
