I worked exclusively with the owner, Jefferson, via phone to design the arrangements. I realized they made cakes. So I ordered a German chocolate cake to the order. I am so happy I did. They delivered all the arrangements and the cake to the restaurant. The flowers were beautiful and the cake was probably the best I have ever eaten. The cake was very moist and the chocolate icing was like eating fudge. I wish I had taken a picture of the cake but I was so busy singing happy birthday before I cut it. When I had a chance to call the florist on the first business day following the delivery (flowers were delivered Friday night for a Saturday funeral; I called on Monday) I was equally unimpressed with their customer service. I received no offer for a partial refund or discount on future purchase, only a lukewarm apology. Then I was told that the florist had been doing flowers for 60 years and knew what an arrangement should look like. Needless to say, Vivian's won't be getting any more of my business, and I can't recommend them to anyone else. With Ruth's Florist now closed, floral pickings are slim indeed in Commerce.
