This is a music bar who's guests are usually a bit older, say in their 40's or more. Most have in common a love for rock, prog rock, punk and even 60's, I'm sure I left a genre out . The previous reviewer said she didn't feel welcomed, I think I agree with her, especially if you try to play on the regulars pool table (well they think it is theirs). It takes a while before you get recognised and accepted by enough of the regulars to feel at home. On a good night and if the DJ is good you will get a good mixture of music and you may even get to witness authentic 60's dancing. No 'new music' here just an dive bar atmosphere of old, the pub changes from time to time into a sports bar, this lasts as long as the games last and I guess helps them meet their financial targets. I have given this bar 3 stars because it is slightly unwelcoming the toilets are pretty manky, it's hard to get a game of pool without getting the evil eye and the atmosphere depends on the DJ's music or the occasional band. Full bar but don't expect to be able to order a strawberry daiquiri !! read more
