As a former student at this school, I would not recommend it. The middle school students are mean,…read morecurse, and put each other down. The students are disrespectful to the teachers and to each other. They don't listen to the teachers and are frequently playing games on their ipads rather than doing their assignments, and the teachers don't care. The teachers actually made me feel bad about myself. I felt like I didn't learn much at this school and my education was much better when I went to public school. The previous principal and the current principal both seemed out of touch with what was actually going on in the classroom and I did not feel supported by either of them. They are constantly asking parents for donations of items, time, and money, in addition to the tuition that they already pay. The fundraisers are constant. Overall, it is a bad environment and was a bad experience for me.

I like the fact that they had the per 5th grader classes' promotional graduations different scheduled time .. Each student were called and given a Manila envelope with their award certificates to save time ... smart move that is !!! Some grad recipients were also honored with a medal necklace for excellence in accelerated Reading.

I felt that the disciplinary…read morestandards were applied inconsistently, and I often had the impression that some students received more scrutiny than others. In my family's experience, my sister seemed to be singled out more often, which left us feeling that she wasn't being treated fairly. The vice principal, Mrs. Mazo, often singled out my sister for how she looked, with her saying, "You stick out more because you are blonde." After getting dress coded for her cross necklace that was tucked into her shirt. Rather than feeling supported, we felt judged, and it created a negative environment that made it difficult to enjoy being at the school. I hope the administration takes concerns about fairness and equal treatment seriously so future students have a better experience than we did.

What makes this school different from…read moreother religious schools are the small class sizes, the caring spirit and the overall student body and parents that are kind and united in the goal of quality eduction. I've put three children in RAA and have been very satisfied with the supportive staff and camaraderie on campus. Tuition prices are reasonable for a private school and the benefits for your children are unquantifiable compared to the costs/downside of public education. With about 400 students, it's easy for the students to get on sports teams and not feel lost in the shuffle. Transfer students will be welcomed with open arms, as was my son who transferred from public school into 9th grade after witnessing the drugs, violence, and peer pressure that's tolerated in public school. For him, it was a life changing experience when he joined this school and it turned his life around completely. Sports are a big part of RAA and their soccer program has recently been a stand out, earning several championships at the middle school level. Redlands Academy has been a bright spot for Christian education in the Inland Empire for over 100 years and I would highly recommend this school to any family.

It's a bit older and some locations need a touch-up, but I love how the staff and students value it! The MPR seemed to have gotten a remodel so I think the school is currently in a remodel phase! The front also got a fresh coat of paint and a new mural! It's good to see the district supporting the sites. As for the classrooms/rooms, again they're a little older but very spacious. Even the trailers have a lot of room to walk around. I was happy to notice each room has a smartboard, handy projector, and large tables. All the kids seemed comfortable. The lounge and working room is a bit small and crowded, but the restrooms are great in there! Most of the staff has been quite friendly and helpful, Hemmerling has a good school community.

The principal MINERVA, gives me vibes of racism due to my experience. She can tell me where I can't…read morepark but where other parents can. She is unprofessional and even threatened to call the police on me. She kept on saying " I keep getting into it with you" when it was only 1 encounter before and that was last school year. The most recent encounter was me leaving my car unattended because every time they say my kids names on the walkie talkie. My kids are never in the car and everyone else's kids are. Just on FRIDAY she was mad I was behind a dodge charger who was parked where it's blocking traffic and I was behind them. I was driving to a parking spot but I was blocked from all angles by vehicles clearly blocking traffic. So I waited so long then seen my kids both look at me and I walked in the middle of the parking lot to have my kids run to me while the principal minerva tries to tell me I can't park right there and my kids are literally coming off the side walk I proceed to grab my children. Mind you she didn't even talk to the cars who were blocking traffic or even the dodge charger who was blocking me. She threatened how she can make it to where I can't come on campus and I knew I had a case. Today I recorded how a car was blocking the drive thru lane while they were waiting for their kid they have the footage of that. Sad part is she didn't say anything. So discrimination is real and I'm glad she is leaving she is the worst & super unprofessional and I have another parent who also stated she felt the same way I felt. TEACHERS ARE AMAZING. LIKE THE TEACHERS ARE SO UNDERSTANDING AND THEY ARE VERY PATIENT.

HONEST review! When moving back to California, I was anxious…read moreabout where I would begin education for my littles after leaving a small town. By the grace of God Springs Charter Schools entered my radius of heavy searching! My first impression of the campus was to my surprise, "small town vibes." The principal Mrs. Slaten, was so well rounded in her abilities. I knew If I felt safe in her energy, my babies would too! So I signed them up immediately! At the time, I opted to do the learning center 2 days on campus 3 days at home, to see how my kiddos would do. I have 3 children, my oldest began at the Cherry Valley Learning Center program with Springs for the first 2 years. My daughter became old enough to do kindergarten through this same program with our wonderful ES (education specialist) Mrs. Mindy. Whom we'd see monthly to check in on assignments. (We miss her ) My littles excelled and learned so much fun stuff through curriculums of their choice. Soon after my youngest son was coming of age for Kindergarten, I realized, he was not going to be a good candidate for the at-home learning program because he said he wanted teachers and a classroom So I decided to try the academy program, 3 days at school 2 days of at-home learning for all my kiddos. They have been attending the Cherry Valley Campus now for the past 2 years, and LOVE it! Every year seems to get better & better. More resources, optimal changes that cater to the children's needs, educational/fun after-school clubs, REACH Fridays for extra help with HW packets for those at-home learning days, a loving principal & vice principal, CARING teachers, a plethora of activities, and even a food truck for free lunches! Any concerns regarding mild foul language (stupid etc) that might need addressing, get addressed! I love that they pride themselves on Kindness & Respect. We need a lot more of that these days. Overall, the development of this newer Springs location at Cherry Valley Student Center has superseded my expectations. We have nothing but good things to say. I'd rather not post pictures for privacy reasons but if you are on the fence and want a safe, caring, supportive, and educational space for your child/children to learn and thrive, BOTH program options are wonderful!
