These fabulous folks are open late for those peeps that are hankering good grub later in the eve…read more I discovered these folks on DoorDash, this restaurant is in the San Mateo area when I ordered. On Yelp they're in the Oakland area. I think they've got a pop up over here or just opening a second location; very happy they did! I absolutely loved the Carnitas Breakfast Quesadilla! Grilled to perfection and the carnitas are really juicy with scrambled eggs and cheese. This was so good! I will definitely order this again. Their chips are homemade and really good, they're light and crisp, paired with the guacamole, so good. The guacamole is very fresh, pure avocados. They have an interesting menu through DoorDash app, breakfast quesadillas, breakfast tacos and breakfast burritos. Everything made me really happy about their menu! I love breakfast any time of day especially when quesadillas, tacos and burritos are involved. I will definitely order again soon. Mmmmmm, give them a try you'll be hooked!

Lil…read moreManana specializes in Mexican breakfast items, such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, egg dishes, and assorted sides. I decided to try their food, and ordered (thru DoorDash) Chorizo Breakfast Tacos and Carne Asada Breakfast Tacos. DD was offering a promo to try this new cloud kitchen.....order $20+ and get up to 35% off. DD Driver arrived on time, no spills. How was the food? Pretty tasty food, both orders get a grade (4/5). These are small tacos made with 2 soft tortillas for each taco. The Chorizo Taco is made with chorizo, eggs, cheese, and pico de gallo. 3 tacos per order, $12.00, I liked these tacos. The Carne Asada Taco is made with carne asada, eggs, cheese, and pico de gallo. 3 tacos per order, $12.00. Plenty of meat. Both orders come with free spicy salsa. But if you want sour cream, guac, lettuce, jalapenos, and/or hot sauce, you have to pay extra for that. All those extra items will add a total of $4.00 to each order. (Maybe cheaper to keep some handy in your refrigerator). The tacos are easy to eat, but probably not while you're driving. The fillings will fall out if you hit a bump.....just a suggestion. (Covid-19 review) -------------------------------------------------- * A cloud kitchen is a restaurant with no dining room. All sales are done thru apps or a website. I got a sriracha corn chicken sammish and it was super yummy. All grilled cheese are crispy, very large and come with a side salad with yummy balsamic dressing and dill pickle. I've had tomato and butternut squash soups and both are flavorful and a perfect match for the grilled cheese. The Sweet Kale Salad is absolutely amazing and very filling if you don't want a sandwich. On the rare occasion they have jars of their delicious Bacon Jam available, I managed to snag a bottle of the savory (not spicy) jam and it is AMAZING with anything you put it on or a spoonful on it's own. I recommend them for private events and if you ever see them around town. So good!

I don't remember how long ago it was that I came to this address. Maybe six months ago. It was a grocery store then, and had a few good dishes from the counter. Now it is a full fledged restaurant, albeit in modest surroundings with the simplest of decor throughout. My kind of place, and Mexican to boot.

ran across these guys on the way to movie night in the park @ dolores park…read more the premise is simple - 2 guys running a simple food cart being towed by a mini cooper. they emphasized that this was not just mexican food, but NEW mexican food (as in food from new mexico). nonetheless, like many other SF joints, they try to get ingredients from AS CLOSE as possible - for example, the honey is mint hill honey (as in near the mint), which is like 8 blocks from where they were situated @ dolores park. the carne adovada burrito was simple and unassuming - just meat in a tortilla, with a decent spice. we asked for some of the salsa, which had a really good kick to it. also had the warm tortilla with local honey - my advice, get it, but eat it immediately, don't take it "to go", b/c in 5 minutes, it'll be cold. thank god we ate one immediately. overall, 2 really cool mellow guys who are out to revolutionize the new mexican food movement. they have a breakfast burrito, that wasn't available when we went (it was their first day), but sounded good nonetheless.

This restaurant/kitchen is similiar to another place called "The Taco Box." Taco Assembly is different in that it only offers one size of taco DIY kit. They try to offer proper portions so that an average person could make 12 small tacos. DoorDash Dashpass had a 40%-off promo (max $8) to try this new kitchen, so I placed an order for a Ground Beef Taco Kit. The menu reads "1 pound of protein, 12 corn tortillas, mexican rice, chopped onions, cilantro, shredded cheese, salsa verde, limes." Yes, you get all that. They give you small tortillas, so you stretch the given ingredients. But it seems to be missing something, because the flavor is a little bland. Maybe it needs something like pico de gallo, or more spicy meat or rice. Also, the price is near $40. Good thing there was a promo discount! It might be good for a kid's party. But I won't order it again.
