The hotel…read moreis beautiful with a grand and classy old-world style atmosphere with marble tiles and rich colors and textured fabrics everywhere. The location of the hotel was excellent for us, about 15 minutes walk to the bus terminal and about another 15 minutes walk the other direction to the city center. Everything is very walkable and easy to get around town. Public transit is also pretty easy to use. Our room was smaller than most average American hotel rooms but still roomier than other European hotels rooms. The bathroom was modern yet felt like it fit with the style of the hotel with its marble walls and floors. The hotel is showing some age and just needs some minor repairs. We did have only two issues. One was our sink was leaking at the bottom but unfortunately, I never got around to reporting it to the front desk so hopefully the hotel sees my review now and looks into it. The other issue was with another guest staying down the hall that unfortunately was mentally unstable and came out her room in the middle of the night screaming waking me up and keeping me up for hours. The hotel tried to reason with her to calm down and go in her room but that wasn't so easy. Evidently, the local police are not able to do anything if she's not physically harming anyone. That was one rough night. The hotel also offers a wonderful breakfast in their restaurant. I highly recommend taking advantage of it as there's a buffet as well as a menu to order additional breakfast items. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Prague.

There's a great community at Locus -- where everyone's treated with kindness, courtesy and respect. It's a 24/7 situation so even if you're working U.S. hours, you can stay into the night if necessary. Locus is located in a very safe neighborhood with the metro and tram both five minutes away on foot. I participated in several Locus events including lunches, trivia games, poker night and a Beer Friday. I'm planning to return to Prague soon -- and will absolutely sign up for a spot at Locus again. When I was there the events included weekly lunches and coffee breaks, and monthly "Free Beer Friday's" and pub nights. These helped facilitate initial introductions that lead to friendships. Facility-wise, Locus has comfortable office chairs and desks, and large windows that let in a lot of natural light. They also have WiFi outside in the summer, so you can work in their courtyard. The sense of belonging I felt at Locus made my stay in Prague feel like a second home. I miss it and hope to be back soon.
