The sausages are good and wrapped in a gloriously soft bread layer. These days I usually get the sausage roll if I come in not knowing what I want. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are reasonable. It's a great place either to pick up a dozen doughnuts to share with the folks at work or to grab something when you've left the house without breakfast. Cochran is lucky to have this place.

Wish it were open a bit later for the university students to hang out, but I also understand the difficulties of overhead once you're outside of peak hours. Wonderful place, highly recommend.

They had some great Lance chips deals. I was a litte concerned tht the Sheriff and local Police were both standing in the parking lot chatting. But I think they were just taking a break for a few minutes. The store is clean and well stocked so I would stop here because to me it's much better than my local Ingles location! I saw the cutest ever cashier here that was kind enough to let us borrow her Harvey's card for an additional discount. She also gave us directions to "The Mansion" and some other club as well. I just adored her southern accent. Much different from mine! She really seemed to be a Sweet GA Peach. But she sqeezed the hell out of my friends Honey Bun so we had to get another one. Thanks A!

We were staying at Little Ocmulgee State Park and ventured into McRae on a Saturday morning where…read morewe noticed a farmer's market, just before hitting the railroad tracks at the edge of town. I'm a sucker for roadside stands and farmer's markets so of course we stopped, and of course we bought something, despite there being only three vendors this particular Saturday. One vendor had rows of tables filled with fresh picked vegetables of all types. We were dying to buy something but didn't have anywhere to keep it until we headed home. However, at another table we found a delectable looking almond pound cake made by Sweet Nana, who was present and assured us she was sweet! We took it straight back to our room after detouring by the Dairy Queen for some ice cream. Deeeelicious! The rest of the cake managed to make it home to Atlanta before we finished it. And for good measure I bought a jar of pear relish, which turned out to be spicier than anticipated. If you're in McRae or Helena, you should visit the farmer's market and support the locals. It's open year round from 9am - 2pm. You know you'll find something good. If you don't know where it is, don't worry, there are numerous signs around town directing you to the market.
