My grandmother lives at this place and we're always shocked with how poorly she's treated. The staff is incredibly lazy. We show up and my grandmother is always sitting in her own waste, a huge diaper as though it's been filling up for hours and hours. The elderly just sit around and hang their heads, complaining of how cold they are. There's no stimulation or games or learning. My grandmothers dementia rapidly deteriorated her as soon as we moved her in. The don't get her dressed most days, they skip showering her. They don't keep her hydrated and so we have to keep hospitalizing her. I've actually walked by and just seen 4 staff members at a time sitting around gossiping doing nothing. My grandmas belongings are ALWAYS disappearing, even after we write her name on everything. They take her treats, her birthday and Christmas gifts, they steal her pants. Anything new always disappears. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to her bathroom and had to wipe up scum and dirt they didn't bother to clean and her toothbrush is always gone. The food is bland and it's SO dry my grandma can't even swallow it and she's losing so much weight! It's saddens me that she is at Angelica's Place. I'm hoping the family moves her away. This place is really terrible. I would not recommend. And I wouldn't trust google reviews because most of those are written by the owners themselves. You put your loved one in a home because life responsibilities prevent you from giving the excellent care you want your older, loved relative to receive. You don't want to just stick them someplace to starve, be hospitalized and ignored until they die in a chair. And honestly, from the looks of her diaper, I wonder how long it would take their lazy staff to notice? :( read more

This place, and it's Washington Twp location are understaffed and are willing to hire caregivers without training and schedule them to work without being trained first. With what I know about this place and the business they conduct, I would never in a million years even consider putting a person I love in their hands. And if you're wondering about working there, apply somewhere else. Fast food is a better option. They automatically deduct a half hour from your shift for a "break" that you might get to have. But they have no break room and at the moment, the new location doesn't even have a kitchen staff so unless you decide to not take care of your residents for a half hour and leave to get food and eat it in your car, then don't count on getting that unpaid break that you're forced into being deducted from your paycheck. Management is extremely rude to employees, they have no clue on how to run a business. If you don't have enough reasons to forget about ever looking into his place, the new Washington location has hardwood floors. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want my 85 year old mother walking around on slippery hardwood floors while I sit at home waiting for the call letting me know that she slipped and died. read more
