I was surprised that my session with Philips helped me with all of these issues. The night after my session was the first night in a long time that I had energy late into the evening. I don't know if all this can be attributed to one session, but it seems like more than coincidence. It feels like the kind of powerful balancing that only a holistic modality like acupuncture can offer. I really enjoyed the session itself. Philips has a likeable and professional demeanor. His office is decorated in a unique way. It has the feeling of being in a treehouse in a redwood grove. The session started with a thorough interview where I felt like Philips got a deep understanding of me. This was only my second time trying acupuncture and the sensation of the needling felt familiar. Many of the needles I could barely feel. When he needled my shins I got a feeling like I had never had before. It was like energy flowing through my body. He also needled in my belly and arms and when he turned one needle in my left arm it felt like it turned all of the other needles on. I was feeling a lot of sensation at this point in the session and he responded by switching over to acupressure. The acupressure felt deeply soothing, especially when he was working on my head. He followed the acupressure with medical qi gong which felt like it integrated the rest of the work that we did. It is now one week since my session and my energy levels are still up and my digestion is still feeling better. The achiness in my feet has returned but it's less than it was before. I think Philips does the kind of great work than can only be done by someone with superior knowledge and a passion for what they do.
