These guys are fantastic. Honest, reliable, and they want to make sure their customers get a great value. I had to buy a used car for my daughter after she was in an accident. When buying a used car you need to have them inspected. The first car I brought in needed a new oil pan & the tires were going to need to be replaced. Andy's didn't recommend getting that car. The used car dealership didn't care. So, I walked. Found another car and after just looking at the Carfax report they didn't recommend it. Third time was the charm. Brought the car in, they could not find anything wrong with it. Then they pulled the Kelley Blue Book recommended pricing & told me where to start with the negotiations. We brought our car in to have the exhaust and brakes checked on 2/5/24. My husband said the older fellow, Roger was very helpful. They did a thorough check and we made an appointment to have the car fixed. The brakes were okay, and there was probably a crack in the exhaust sytem that could be welded easily. On the 7th the car was dropped off at 10am. We left it that day and got a call from the kid who was working on the car at 4pm and they said the'd need to keep it overnight. We got a call the next to pick up the vehicle. At the time I dropped off my husband, he went inside; I left. He came home and was upset. The main reason we took it was the exhaust system and the kid told him he didn't have time, and the girl that was there offered no explanation but wrote a phone number of where we could take it. What a run around. They fixed the easy things and totally dropped the ball on what we went there for. The owner on Monday and Roger were extremely helpful; but the kid who did the work and the other girl who got paid, were of absolutely no help! Won't be using them again. Went out here because it's near my school and I'm kind of terrified of the shops in the city. The way you're just supposed to zoom off ot a busy street and into the itty-bitty parking lot of those... yeah, yikes. Anyway, I had a super pleasant and easy experience. I've never had to take my car in before, and this was about as good of an experience as I could have imagined. Just a nice calm atmosphere. I haven't a clue what a fair charge is but I was able to get my issue diagnosed and fixed that same day, and what I paid didn't make me blanche. I've had more expensive vet bills. Haha. read more

Last Thursday, on my way from Red Wing to Bemidji, my truck broke down in Anoka. I limped it to Andy's "Service" - it had a significant fuel leak. Firstly, the receptionist was a sweetheart. Very apologetic when the mechanic refused to even look at my truck because it was a diesel. She said they don't repair diesels - I said "They have tools, don't they? I'm not asking them to rebuild the engine." She then referred me to a foul mood miserable human being at Jags Pro Truck Shop in Zimmerman where I had the truck towed 25 miles to only to be told that he will get to it in two weeks. I parked my truck at the Napa in Zimmerman, slept in the truck overnight as I had valuables in the truck, bought the fuel line to replace the one that was split, used Napa's 19mm and 10mm wrench to replace the line in under 20 minutes. There is no service at Andy's Service; and no human empathy for a guy completely stranded. read more

( there is a few i goto ) Dealership couldn't figure out the problem for 2 months but 10 minutes at Andy's Service did and didn't even need to test drive it but they sometimes will need to test drive depending on the problem i guess. I been trying to go back to Andy's for a while but my cars were previously fixed so well by Andy's that i don't yet need to go back. Until i save enough money to replace my AC Compressor lolz.. p.s. Love Andy's Service. For the last 3 years whenever we have had vehicle issues, we have went to them. We have always been able to get our vehicles serviced in a timely manner while being respected as a customer. In the beginning of August I received a flyer that had coupons on it and every month it has a winner of a free oil change on there. It was me! I couldn't believe it. I never win anything. To win that, the only thing that I had done in the past was like their Facebook page. I went in about 2 weeks ago to get the oil changed in my vehicle and it was amazing. I had my 2 kids with me, ages 6 & 11. Although they had plenty of things to keep them busy, they loved visiting with the staff and Chester (the office parrot.) Andy is a complete rip off. I called to get my son and daughter-in law car in for brakes. My son keeps really good care of his vehicle and has service done on a reg basis. Andy tells me that he gets 100 for labor plus brake pads. he tells me it will need rotors and he gets 300 for that. i asked him how he could say it needs rotors without even seeing the vehicle. he said every vehicle needs them.. This is what gives your business a bad name. total disregard for the customer, upcharging. your a joke . i am sure BBB will be interested in this complaint read more

As a woman I always feel uneasy as to what needs repair and what doesn't need to be done, Andy's has always been upfront about what is the problem and has never pressured me to feel that soooo many things need to be done at one time. Unfortunately I was very dissatisfied with the service at our last visit. Took our car in for repairs and when I picked up and paid for repair they stated everything was fixed. On the way home the car was still acting up as it was when we brought car in. Brought the car back to them and they took it for a test drive and confirm it wasn't running right (which should have been done before we picked it up). Stated there was excessive carbon build up (?) and this would need to be cleaned for $$$. When I asked why it wasn't performed at the same time they stated typically they do but it didn't get done so there would be additional labor to do it now. I stated to receptionist I was not happy about additional charges as this was something that should have been down while the car was there and obviously no one even attempted to drive the car to see it was running right and now I had to go another day without my car and still had another bill. Hopefully whoever was responsible will remember to test drive cars before they send them home to avoid this problem in the future. read more
