As someone who has one kidney, she took my situation and my sizable kidney stone very seriously, yet was very calm in her encouragement that I address my situation in somewhat short order. I needed a laser lithotripsy procedure, and her explanation of the procedure gave me the knowledge I needed - and the confidence that addressing this early, before the stone began to pass (9MM) was the safest and wisest choice. Since the procedure (which went according to plan), she has been very proactive to ensure that post surgery, she has visibility into the remaining fragments, and how I can best ensure they pass sooner than later. Dr. Takla is very approachable, listens, and explains everything thoroughly - and answers each and every question I bring to the table.
