I am deeply grateful to Dr. James Choi. After seeing many traditional Chinese medicine and…read moreacupuncture doctors, I can honestly say that Dr. Choi is different in the best possible way. Many clinics today can feel rushed and volume-driven. You often feel like the doctor is trying to see as many patients as possible, and each appointment becomes very quick and mechanical. With Dr. Choi, I never felt that way. He spends real time with his patients, listens carefully, asks detailed questions, and genuinely tries to understand what is happening in the body. You can feel that he deeply cares about the person in front of him, not just the appointment. What impressed me most is his combination of integrity, experience, and skill. He has more than 40 years of clinical experience, but he still treats each patient with patience and seriousness. He does not use a one-size-fits-all approach. He uses a Korean Four-Constitution / Sasang constitutional approach, and he also carefully studies the fingerprint patterns of all ten fingers as part of understanding a patient's individual constitution. From what I have researched, this approach is very special because it looks at the whole person, not just one symptom. A person with a "cold" constitution may need a very different treatment approach from someone with a "hot" constitution, and a yin-type body may respond differently from a yang-type body. Dr. Choi understands these differences and adjusts his treatment with great precision. My own experience has been very meaningful. I had numbness around one side of my mouth for about two years. After my first acupuncture treatment with Dr. Choi, I felt about 80% improvement. That result gave me a lot of hope. Since then, I have continued to feel that his treatment is not only based on strong technique, but also on a sincere desire to help the patient get better. I now drive almost two hours each way to see him, nearly four hours round trip. Even with that long drive, I still feel it is worth it, because it is very rare to meet a doctor who has both excellent medical skill and a truly caring heart. Dr. Choi represents what I believe a physician should be: honest, responsible, highly experienced, careful, patient, and deeply committed to healing. I am truly thankful for his help, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who treats patients with both skill and integrity. D

Western doctors told me I simply had to 'live with it,' but I knew I couldn't. Finding Dr. Choi changed everything. After 3.5 years of struggling on my own, I have seen a complete turnaround in less than six months. His expertise, combined with his encouraging nature, gave me the strength to stay committed to my recovery. He is the real deal, and I am finally on a positive trajectory toward health. Thank you, Dr. Choi.

I always had eczema growing up but very small patches that would come and go. But not until I got sick I went to Kaiser and they gave me some antibiotics and I was taking them almost every month for 3 months and then I started to get eczema all over my upper body. So I went to countless of dermatologist at Kaiser and 2 holistic doctors but of course Kaiser kept prescribing the same thing. Which was steroids whether it was pills or creams. I even took two to three shots of a biologic called adbry. I had it all over my chest to my arms and even my ears and scalp it was painful and oozing all the time I didn't know what to do to stop the oozing. I also had it on my face. I would not be able to shower every day and if I did it had to be quick and I needed help washing my hair. They took care of me a lot here I vouched 100% for the herbal medicine and their care. I took maybe about 4 to five boxes of it and almost after two months I was feeling sooo much better. Of course everyone's body is different, I learned so much about my body and what to do when it came to my diet and they answered all of my questions that I was curious about. I'm still not 100% healed but there is no more red inflamed skin covered on my arms and no more oozing! And now I'm able to slowly reintroduce the food I wasn't able to eat during treatment. I definitely recommend coming to ty wellness center for anyone dealing with tsw or eczema. And my prayers go out there to anyone going through this tough journey and hope it gets better because it will! I know at first you don't see results right away but they start coming a little day by day.The herbal medicine is what helped me the most! Even though it was kinda pricey I thought it was worth my health. I only got up to 3 sessions of acupuncture which was pretty relaxing too.

Sunny is my favorite natural doctor/Chinese acupuncturist - although she is Korean!…read more I don't normally write Yelp reviews, however, Sunny is well worth bragging about. These are my favorite things about her services: 1) Individualized Care - she spends time with you going over the symptoms, treatment, and after treatment, explains how you should proceed with your life (whether it be supplements, teas, diet, exercise, stress level etc.) 2) Affordable - she will work with you and your budget. She also gives you discounts for referrals. 3) She does not charge hourly, but per treatment. So what you think of as your one hour $80-90 session, will count as only $80-90 for TWO hours! 4) It will most likely just be you in her office. Forget the large clinics where interns creepily watch over you as the "master" instructs newbies. 5) Sunny is a master herself, with a practice for over 15 years, having worked at several clinics like above, but now has her own. 6) She is the warmest, maternal figure and will personally call or text you to check in. She is available ANY TIME and is amazing! We're all so lucky to have Sunny to help us. Definitely check her out if you experience digestive problems, stress, emotional blockage, tightness, muscle aches, lack of sleep, cold hands/feet, period irregularity, etc. Also great for PREVENTATIVE care - when I start to feel like I'm getting sick, I go to see her immediately and knock out the cold before it even comes. She has many methods to help you - needles, cupping, moxa, teas, herbs, diet recommendations and the list goes on....!
