As a first time mom finding this school for my 3 year old was a blessing. He has learned so much in one year, and all thanks to Mr. Jo. She is an angel on this earth, her patience and love for the kids is a virtue. My son loves to go to school, because of Mrs. Jo. She creates a nurturing environment for the kids. All of the staff at the learning nest is exceptional. Laurie and Cynthia are amazing they always great you with a smile and answer all your questions. I always felt my son was safe and in good hands here. Staff has been working there for 10+ years. Communication amongst staff members is great. The building and location is beautiful and so clean. I love the drop off and pick up process. They do fun activities with the kids. You cannot go wrong with this preschool! The Cavalie Family

We knew she was ready for more than we could offer at home. So we wanted to make sure she was in an environment of learning, creativity and top notch care. After touring many schools and montessoris in our area, we finally got an appointment at DPK. We were so pleased from the moment we pulled up into the parking lot. The school is in a beautiful and lush area, with so many trees and beautiful greenery. No heavy traffic or too many buildings around. Everything was super clean and NEW! We were greeted by Ms. Laurie the school Director, who also gave us our tour. She was sweet, energetic and funny. The school has been completely remodeled . All the class rooms are New and immaculate. It's not too big, which we loved!! They had everything we were looking for. A music room, library, and great gym with all new kids equipment and toys. The class rooms were beautiful, organized and soooooo clean! They even had a Viewing Glass area, were we could stop by and peek into the class without the kids seeing us. This gave us so much peace of mind. We were also able to meet the teacher Ms. Sabrina, and speak with her about her experience and teaching philosophy. We knew right away we had found our School! Thankfully there was a spot available and we got our little one registered right away! After 4 months of going to DPK our kiddo has blossomed in so many ways! The growth is amazing to watch. She is talking so much and is always happy and excited to go to school. The entire DPK team is truly the BEST. They are caring, experienceed, and knowledgeable. They are always available to speak and give us feedback on how our little one is doing. Ms Laurie, Ms Cynthia, Ms Sabrina, Ms Gabby, these ladies are such a blessing! We am so happy we found this little Gem in Plantation!!!

Everyone is so loving, respectful, and caring of the parents and children that it truly has a family feel to it. It makes us feel so at ease knowing that our son spends so much of his time there. We know that he is surrounded by other adults that love him. Unlike other daycares we visited in the area, the staff at KAP has been around a long long time; an indication of a happy place to be. This is especially important for parents and their kids as a strong bond is required with caregivers. He has also flourished in language, motor skills, and manners/respect. He is one smart little boy and communicates so well! We know this is largely in part to the attentiveness of the teachers and the activities they all do with the kids. Not once have I ever walked in and seen the kids unattended or any teachers on their phones. Not one single time. I am so happy and thankful to have found this spot and actually have 3 friends who enrolled their kids in the school as well, and also love it. I plan on putting my daughter in this center once she is of age as well :)

The school truly nurtures independence, curiosity, and confidence in its students. Over the years we've watched Jack grow not only academically but also personally, developing strong communication skills, responsibility, and a genuine love of learning. One of the most special opportunities recently was his participation in the MMUN (Montessori Model United Nations) conference in New York. Seeing students represent their schools and countries on an international stage at such a young age speaks volumes about the quality of education and encouragement they receive at Montessori Institute of Broward. The leadership at the school is exceptional. Ms. E, the principal, creates a warm, supportive environment where students feel valued and inspired. She truly leads with heart and vision. Jack's Grade 4 teacher, Ms. Kay, has also been outstanding--patient, dedicated, and deeply invested in her students' growth. She challenges them academically while also nurturing their confidence and character. We are incredibly grateful to be part of such a thoughtful and inspiring school community. Montessori Institute of Broward has played a huge role in shaping Jack into the curious, confident young person he is becoming. Luke aged 5 is also thriving at MIB and i cant wait to see how he progresses.

WARNING: POLICE AND DCF INVESTIGATION NECESSARY…read more UNENROLLED AFTER 2 WEEKS! My 2.5 yr old in the class with Mrs Stephanie and Mrs Sandra, was assaulted and left with four finger prints, welts and a bleeding imprint of an adults nail in his neck. His best assertation to what happened (very well spoken almost 3yr old) was the teacher did it. When asked how it happened, he said he was being "mean" and the teacher went like this (motioning someone snatching his neck) When I picked him up, he normally runs over to me happy.... NOT ON AUG 2 2022. HE INSTANTLY started bawling when he saw me, and when I picked him up I asked Mrs Sandra what happened... Her story was he had been scratching his neck all day and she tried to wipe it. (I INSTANTLY DIDNT BELIEVE THAT STORY AS I HAVE SEEN HER BE ROUGH WITH HIM OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS ON CAMERA AND I KNOW MY SON DOESNT SCRATCH HIS NECK TILL IT BLEEDS) Then I asked Mrs Stephanie, his head teacher, and her story was he fell in the bathroom with some boys rough playing earlier in the day (MIND YOU THAT IS BS AS THE WELTS AND SWELLING SUBSIDED AROUND 7pm SO YOU KNOW IT WAS FRESH FROM 4:30-5:10 BEFORE PICKUP) NEITHER TEACHER REPORTED ANY INJURIES TO ADMIN OR PARENT. I then came in AUG 3, to talk with JODY MILLER, one of the Directors, and the administration had no clue as to what happened. This incident was still undocumented after 3 attempts from parents both me and my wife to get to the bottom of this THE DAY BEFORE. After telling JODY MILLER about this scenario, she went to "TALK WITH HER BOSS" for a good 10 Min (LEAVING ME IN OFFICE), and came back with Mrs Stephanie's report from "4:30" yesterday. This report was written defensively in about 5 min while I was there. It was not signed and acknowledged by the director, and it was not given to me until I came and threatened DCF action. 3 Different stories from 3 different ADULTS!!!! WOW Talk about sweeping some shady shit under the rug AND STILL NOT DOCUMENTING ANY OF IT!!!!!!!! DISGUSTED AND APPALED EVEN IF THE TEACHERS WERE TELLING THE TRUTH IT WAS HANDLED INAPPROPRIATELY ALL THE WAY AROUND!!! ALL OF THIS MYSTERIOUSLY UNREPORTED DRAMA HAPPENED IN THE BATHROOM ***OFF CAMERA*** DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. PICS INCLUDED

My daughter has been there a few months now and haven't had any issues since and especially now in her new grade level. Parents, be aware! I withdrew my daughter from the school because I was concerned for her safety…read more She attended 3 months and during that time I witnessed: rough handling of children (jerking by one arm, forcing a child to seat on a chair)  emotional abuse (extended ignoring of a child: he was restrained in a chair and eating alone in a corner of the classroom. When he finished eating, he stayed there playing with the food and the plate for an hour at least. Nobody approached him and asked if he was ok or ready to come back to the class) inappropriate discipline techniques (active play was withheld from a child for more than an hour) inadequate sanitary conditions (not disinfecting diaper changing surface after each use, very dirty garbage can, children with dirty hands and face every day, no paper towel and toilet paper available in several instances). I discussed these issues with the director, Ms Agudelo, who said the children who were being disciplined this way were "special" kids. That's not an excuse for mistreatment and abuse! Ms Misty (the two-year-olds teacher) even did these things in front of me and other parents. I can't imagine what they do to the kids when parents are not there. I am also a teacher and I trusted her and Kindercare in Plantation to take care of my 2 year-old daughter. Please, take your child elsewhere!

*warning this is a very detailed 5 year review* The quality…read moreof education at this center has deteriorated drastically. From the leaky water run off at the entrance of the building roof, to the J-Rigged A/C hose hanging out of the window in the front of the building. But Today was the most foul of all. I walked into the school at 1735 to pick up my son after receiving a missed call from the school at 1658 this afternoon. To my surprise I turned to see my 5 year old sitting on the FLOOR IN THE FRONT OFFICE in PLAIN VIEW and DIRECT FOOTPATH OF THE FRONT DOOR, other teachers and children saying their goodbyes to the DIRECTOR MS SHAY & the PEMBROKE PINES DIRECTOR MS JULIE (who were both sitting in the office ON CHAIRS whilst my child was instructed to sit on the floor.) After exchanging words about my son being on the floor with numerous chairs around & the deterioration of the children's behaviors since this very frail new teacher who displays no form of authority has been established, and since this center has begun to see an increasingly high turnaround rate she refused to acknowledge the fact that there is NO STRUCTURE within the VPK classroom due to this conflict. (Which she admitted to my sons father a week prior). However, She suddenly caught amnesia ‍ I asked her if this new frail teacher is the problem or is my son the problem? She looked down at my son (who's still sitting) and looked up at me and said "He's the problem" with the stinkiest attitude festering in her throat. Let's start here , My child has attended this school since the age of 6 months and has never been treated with such disrespect by another human more than this school has today. This school has gone from prestigious to dumpster fire. The teacher my child had was named Ms Alisha and from the moment she left -my child has not been given homework ,let alone a stable curriculum in class all they do is COLOR. Ms Alisha single-handedly had to be the best teacher to bless this schools existence. I say this with numerous parents to back this up because when she left they pulled their kids. The teachers here know my child and since Ms Jennifer left - this school has gone DOWNHILL. MS SHAY IS THE MOST WISHY WASHY DOUBLE EDGED SNAKE THERE. She will twist stories and jump to the highest degree of punitive measures ! For example, the constant nagging the parent about normal toddler behavior then expecting the parent to leave their job at moments notice to pick up their child when they could've handled the situation if they were properly trained. My child was blamed for saying an expletive in the class and to my surprise as any parent you honestly wonder where did my child learn this behavior , and you're lead to believe your child is a growing problem only to hear from MS SHAYS MOUTH THE NEXT DAY that it was something stated by another child in class the week PRIOR who the expelled! How will a child behave when there are 18 other children competing for the attention from the ONE TEACHER ?? They pry these surveys down your throat and tell you to give them good reviews right after some form of negligence so you can cover for them. When something happens to your child no one knows how he got gashed, or how every week he's coming home with new scratches, or how he's coming home with behavioral issues he's adapted from other kids! Or we could discuss WHY MY SON HAS BEEN SICK CONSTANTLY SINCE HES ATTENDED THIS SCHOOL. He's gotten every form of cold, flu, and respiratory issue (yes the vid too) you can think of at some point throughout his stay here and they pass it off as daycare sniffles. THE SINGLE REASON I have allowed my child to stay is because of the knowledge my son has gained from his teachers MS Cherry, and Ms Alisha who were personable and treated each child with care and love as if they were their own. I could go into detail about many more things and have receipts for every claim stated above too. Make sure you do your research before enrolling.
