His knowledge, patience in answering questions, and ability to present the historical facts surrounding the Whitney Plantation were truly superb. Justin was engaging, welcoming, and presented information at a scholarly university level with remarkable depth and historical insight. His passion for educating others about the lived experiences of enslaved African Americans was evident throughout the entire tour. He provided not only historical facts, but meaningful context that allowed visitors to reflect deeply on the realities and legacy of slavery in America. What stood out most was his ability to connect history with humanity. Justin's delivery was thoughtful, respectful, and impactful. I could easily see him featured on a documentary or the History Channel, or even leading doctoral-level discussions and research surrounding the history of enslaved African Americans. His expertise and presence are truly at that caliber. The Whitney Plantation tour team should be honored to have someone so passionate, knowledgeable, and connected to the history of the plantation itself. Justin represents the type of educator and historian who leaves a lasting impression long after the tour has ended. I look forward to seeing Justin continue to grow on even higher educational and professional platforms. He is truly exceptional.
