Upon a recommendation from a family friend, we contacted Yates flooring and couldn't have been happier. The manager came to our home and measured all rooms that we needed to change out and sneered all questions that we had. Except for the, what flooring do you recommend question. But that's a harder question to answer with anything other than come to the showroom and look at what they have to offer. He was right, immediate overload as soon as we walked in and it looked like they had a bunch of everything. He helped us narrow it down to what we were looking for and then we picked out what we wanted to use. The flooring was ordered and install date was set. We went with carpet in three bedrooms and vinyl plank in the fourth. The crew ripped out all the old carpet and lid the carpet (one piece no seams) as well as laid the vinyl planks in one day. All rooms were cleaned up and ready to be lived in and no trash was left on site. Crew was professional and polite.

He has the best costumer service and if I was wondering if we could fix a tile, he was pleasant and always responded with "ofcourse not a problem". Even changed the shower tile after he had already had all the inventory and once again was pleasant about it with no hesitation but that he was happy to change the tile out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

So excited about my clean and shiny floors. I called another floor cleaner but could not even get…read morea price per square foot out of him. Always a little leery the price changes based on the neighborhood in which you live! I saw Surface Cleaning Solutions trailer driving down the road and called from my car. Got a price/sq.ft. and went home and measured so I had a rough idea what my price would be. Set up a quick come in and measure and got my cost estimate, right where I thought it would be! The following week my floors were cleaned and sealed! My 30 year-old floors look brand new! Larry was great to work with, friendly and so efficient!

Only one of those times did they contact me beforehand to tell me; all the other times, I spent hours waiting on them to arrive before having to call them. Poor, Poor, Poor. Workmanship is passable but not anything outstanding. They do require full payment up front. Should have known this was a red flag. My recommendation is to find someone else, use another company. There are numerous companies in Odessa and Midland, pick one of them, stay away from Paul Evans.

I had the opportunity to deal with Hill's Carpet and Remodeling on a couple of projects for my…read moreparents. One was a pair of bathroom flooring replacements and the latest a new carpet in my parents' giant master bedroom. With both projects, I was impressed with the politeness and professionalism of the flooring and carpet journeymen that they employ. I was particularly impressed with the carpet journeymen's no-nonsense approach to moving the furniture in and out of the bedroom. No complaints, no muss, no fuss. Additionally, with projects like this, workers are sometimes not very conscientious about the cleanup afterwards. The carpet team immaculately cleaned up after themselves. The best part was the quality of the installation and the install time. The work was done in 3 hours, including moving the furniture. The shopping experience at the store was no pressure, just informative. I highly recommend this business and will surely go to them first for any future remodeling projects.
