We had a "wish list" of places to visit while in Andalucia. Walking from the Alcazar to the hotel, we saw the entire list in the Andalsur window. Neither my wife nor i are tour group people, but with the complexity of a visit to Alhambra, we decided to try this one. I went in the shop, asked Maria "Habla Ingles?" She answered "Of course". We signed up for the tour for the following Sunday. The bus (15 passenger, but only 10 occupants) picked us up at our hotel, stopped for breakfast about halfway to Granada, then connected us to the tour guide at the front gate of the Alhambra.
The guide spoke excellent British English, and took us through the Alhambra, then took us through the Generalife Gardens (Alhambra's kitchen garden), then dropped us off at the tour bus. We did supper in Granada as part of an add-on tour of Granada's Moslem district.
The bus stopped at the same restaurant on the way back to Sevilla, and dropped us off at the hotel.
We had planned to go to Jerez and Ronda, but decided that we didn't have the time for those tours.
This tour was more than we would have paid to do the pieces discretely, but it my Spanish is weak, and my wife's is non-existant. The premium to Andalsur was worth the money. To do this ourselves, we would have to book the bus to Granada, the city bus to Alhambra, the admission tickets, and the tour guide. Working with Maria was definitely the happy choice. With more time, we would have done other tours with them. read more
