This place seems absolutely wonderful. It is well-stocked and well-staffed. I stopped to pick up a part for a Stihl trimmer. A number of people tried to assist me, but it didn't seem like they had the part in stock. The Stihl specialist was too busy to come out and provide me with any assistance. The people who assisted me were lovely but not helpful. I would not go back. read more

Thank you!!! I called and asked if the roof paint was in stock as website showed and it was. Some nice worker loaded on a little cart and had it at checkout in 2 minutes. Then I had trouble fitting my power washer and he walked out and helped me to connect it. No need for buying any parts either. Life saver got the house ready for checkins. read more

I find this place ANNOYING and a bit over priced. Went in just out of shear boredom figuring I'll just browse. BAM! as soon as you walk in you get, "can I help you find anything?" No was my reply just browsing through and I kid you not, within 10 minutes walking through the isles no less than 5 different people asked "do you need help?" This store isn't that big that warrants all these people and secondly, after the 3rd person asking me and getting the same reply it should've spread like wildfire throughout the store that the guy in isle 6 doesn't need help he's just looking.! I'll give them credit it's a clean-ish store, saw a mouse in the corner in bird food section But friendly staff and it's been located here for many many years. read more

We just bought 270 something dollars worth of merchandise. ! after we just left he forgot something went back in didn't leave the parking lot yet gave him $100 bill. He went inside to pick the remaining stuff. He fix a zipper some clown and they're accusing me of stealing Asking him pick his shirt up etc. then the manager came over and asked him with his shirt up. I went back in to talk to the guy who accused him and he said he had his hands down his pants, which he did not also after that the guy began to threaten me which he's alll mouth of course . Talk to manager and the owner did nothing about it. I am in a business and definitely would not let one of my employees accuse me of stealing first of all who just got done buying almost $300 worth of stuff who's in there once a week at least and then threaten a customer would never go back in again. Again, I have been there 100 times a year for years, including my son and other family members play. Let some drunken employee talk crap to me accuse my son of stealing and left him alone. We love this Ace!!!! There is exceptional service and since we have been coming here for 10 years...they totally know us and the staff hasn't changed very much. It's a wonderful size hardware store and carries most of what we need for our home. You will have to complete your tasks and be done early on Sunday, because they do close early. read more

Very poor customer service from the store owner Liz and the Gm Corey . The sales associate who originally helped me was a awesome older man . I wish the owner and GM would learn from his professionalism and kindness . I put a review on the Anco Ace hardware site , but the owner must have removed it ! Looks like they only keep the good reviews .I will continue to shop at Ace hardware stores , but not Anco Ace hardware in Cape May . So happy to have found this place! I had been trying to purchase an outdoor shed for months and the "big" guys were out with no indication when they would be able to get any shipments in. Stay away from here. I have gone into this location twice. Once last year to have keys made and once just today (6/11/2017) to also have a key made. First time the guy asked me what I needed an then said to wait while he took care of a uhaul customer. Took the customer outside to look at what they had and came back 3 or 4 times over a 15 minute period and never helped me. Didnt even send anyone over to help. Then just today I went in and immediately upon entering the woman to the left of the entrance behind a counter asked if I need help with anything. I said yes I needed a key copied. She assured me someone would be right down. I heard her tell someone I needed a key made and an acknowledgement followed her request. 10 minutes went by and nobody ever came back. Upon leaving the store one worker was reading a catalog at the front desk and she was sitting there leaning on the counter reading something. Neither of them were immediately assiting anyone and neither od them even noticed me walk out. I have been vacationing here at our property for over 30 years right on wildwood ave. I will never come here again. Horrible customer service. read more
