Cecil came out, gave us good choices on material as they are restrictions. Combined with this the price was far better than the other quotes. The quality was equal to or better than the others. The material was Sunbrella, and the frame very heavy duty. Installation was very efficient. Once installed the bedrooms off the back deck cooled down and in the evening enjoy the view and front deck. During times when the workload is overwhelming tentative projects can get missed. However, full attention is always given to customers with firm orders that are in place with deposits paid. The frustration in Mark H's review is somewhat understandable, but United were under no obligation to serve him, and Mark was within his right to shop elsewhere for a quotation. Knowing the full background on this, Mark is a Commercial Realtor for MacDonald Realty in West Vancouver - his comments are unfair and biased. The important thing to note is that United offer the best pricing combined with shortest production & installation lead times (usually 10 -15 business days) of any awning & sign company on the Lower Mainland. I called ShadeZone and was pleasantly surprise to be invited to their Showroom, at a very handy location. The showroom is state of the art, with samples, installed items for demo and such a pleasant and knowledgeable Sales Lady. We selected type and colour, pattern, etc. An appointment was made for someone to come and do the measurements and bring the samples we had chosen to make a final decision. Max came over and did all that was promised. Today Max and his assistant came and did the install, taking away the old blinds, etc. The previous two times we had Blind companies here my wife was left in tears and she's a tough lady, not today the Blinds actually fit perfectly. Exactly as ordered, good quality a very good price. Max is outstanding as a representative of his company. My wife is delighted and so am I.
