We were referred here for my son who is 3. You know when you initially go somewhere new, it's the unknown all over again. So a little 'welcome, how can I help' goes along way. They were not welcoming; from the front desk to chair. Bedside manners were low. The dr herself spoke to us like we were dumb. And made us feel like we were a disturbance to her day by telling us " I wasnt expecting to do this all day" referencing the work needed for my son. When I had communicated days earlier that we need to change the plans of work because he's been in pain all week. It started to feel like she didn't care to work with my son. At the end of the 2nd appointment they just left him at the door. Didn't walk him out or even come out to talk to me. And the receptionist wasn't 100% sure of the work that was done either. It sucks to leave a bad review, but I was pissed off when we left. I get everyone has a bad day, but this is the 2nd appointment where we left disappointed. That's more than enough to not want to come back or even refer them to others. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Dr. Ancheta and her staff are so awesome! It was my little ones 1st time ever going to the dentist, she just turned 2 years old. I was anxious and they told me everything they were gonna do & walked me through everything as they did it all. Super super sweet staff & the doctor was honestly phenomenal!!! She was fine until they started then she screamed lol But that was expected! It was great to hear that my daughters teeth were perfect, super clean, no cavities and that I was doing a really good job along with her dad with keeping up with her teeth... She goes above and beyond to accommodate families to the best of her abilities. She and her staff are very professional and friendly. We are here in Vacation and needed to call Dr Janel's office as an ER for my daughter. She got a fish bone stuck in the back of her throat. Dr Janel's office was able to get us in same day. When we arrived, the office was busy and filled with patients. I now can see why, Dr Janel is really sweet and personable and exude the "Aloha Spirit". Her team was sweet. And Dr Janel was able to detect the fish bone and remove it. My daughter was really relieved that it did not hurt and that Dr Janel was able to get it out. Dr Janel saved our vacation. If we ever live in HI, I would return and make Dr Janel my daughter's dentist. We appreciate you and your team. You are awesome. read more

Great service from Dr Ancheta-Carroll and staff. They were awesome with my dramaqueentween!!! We went for an annual cleaning and to pull the remaining baby teeth still hanging on even though she has a full adult set of teeth! They did awesome at convincing my tween that it wont hurt and its really for the best that the baby teeth are removed. In the end we had a happy kid, grateful mom, and baby teeth in a little plastic treasure box :) This office accepts military (Tricare) dental - not sure which company we are with out here. read more

I've been taking both my babies here since they sprouted their first couple teeth. I read a bunch of reviews online on diff dentists, but there was a handful and I couldn't decide lol ... So I turned to one of my close friends for any recommendations as she had kids of her own before I had my babies. Anywho, she referred me to Dr.Ancheta-Carroll, and I'm glad she did. Dr.Ancheta-Carroll or "Aunty Dentist" is very thorough in explaining any procedure that needs to be done, if any. I like that she also gives us options and gives us time to decide; I don't feel rushed. My daughter told me one day after a visit " "Aunty Dentist" is so sweet she asks me if I'm ok and if I feel comfortable. She gives me glasses to protect my eyes." This made me feel so much more comfortable that my babies are in her chair. What better review than that of a 5yr old? Dr.Ancheta-Carroll's staff are just as awesome. They're organized, friendly and patient. From the front desk to the hygienists. They're always so reassuring that my babies will be ok. One day my daughter was crying and I got worried. I went over to talk to the office staff and Karen, reassured me that she's fine and is in good hands. I can see that they all try their best to help ease the anxiety of both the kids and their parents which I absolutely love. The facility is clean. In the waiting room there's a cute corner with toys n books to keep the kids occupied they even have a tv that play children movies, both in the waiting room and in the patient rooms as well. At the end of the visit the staff gives the kids a token for the mini toy dispenser which my kids always looks forward to. Happy babies = happy mommy. If you're looking for a pediatric dentist Dr.Ancheta-Carroll is one you can trust! She and her staff is amazing. read more

My 3 children have gone here since 6 months old or when they got their teeth. Dr. Ancheta-Carroll (Aunty dentist) and her staff have always been so great. They educate you on the procedures being done on your children and make sure you clearly understand before moving forward. If needed they'll let you stay with your children but highly prefer you not to make it easier on the child and the person assisting as you may be a distraction. Once my child and I had a complaint and Doctor quickly took care of the situation and eased our minds. Although doctor has had to experience some difficulty from the children's other parent she has handled it with great professionalism although other parent was extremely difficult. Dr. Ancheta-Caroll is really great with kids. Super patient and so is her staff. My son is NOT fond of the dentist (who is?), but she was able to keep him calm and relaxed through his cleanings and fillings. We love Dr. Ancheta! She's so patient and sweet and makes me feel like she takes care of my son like she would her own. My son has had dental work done in the past and she has only recommended to fix his teeth if she felt like the cavities were needing to be done. Otherwise, we have "watched" a few of his cavities and let the small ones on the front teeth fall out. This is such an overdue review! My son was so scarred from his first visit with the dentist and refused to go again. I thought that the one dentist he did see had kind of a rugged attitude, and I figured that it was cause he didn't SPECIALIZE in pediatric dentistry, so I took it upon myself to try and find him a pediatric dentist on Yelp. I stumbled onto Dr Ancheta's office and decided to give them a phone call and to my surprise they had the day that I needed available. They have a cute little office, always have a kid-friendly movie playing on the tv in the waiting room (I catch myself watching the movies more than my son lol) but if you plan on waiting in the waiting room, be sure to bring a jacket cause it's super cold in there! Throughout the last 3 times that my son has been seen, I have to say that I'm VERY impressed with Dr Ancheta & her staff. They're all so loving and VERY patient! With a child like mine who cries bloody murder during their appt, they are EXTREMELY patient with him. They never showed any sign of them being very frustrated with him, despite how frustrated I was with him, myself. They always were encouraging and reassuring him that everything was fine, and the fast he cooperates, the faster we could get finished with everything. But I absolutely love the staff here, I would most definitely recommend Dr Ancheta to anyone with kids. They always have you fill out your name and address on a little post card as a reminder to schedule your next appt as the time nears, and they also call you the day before to confirm your appt as well. I highly recommend Dr Ancheta's office to anyone who is looking for a pediatric dentist! read more

Took my son in for his very first dentist appointment. It went in pretty well. The staff was very nice as well as Dr. Ancheta. Everyone came in and said hi to brayden and introduced themselves as aunty which I find very excellent! Making him feel like family as opposed to a scary Dental visit for a toddler. I love the fact they have TVs playing a movie to keep the kids occupied, even in the check up room as well. Today they were playing lion king, proud back my childhood. They also had books in the check up room too. There was a bit of a wait from getting in to in between the dental hygienist to his actual doctor but the books and movie helped my little guy even though he was screaming crying during the actual teeth cleaning. Only thing I didn't like was when I walked in I wasn't greeted. The lady at the check on table was on the phone so I waited kinda half in the window half out cause I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, after 5-10 min then I said hello and I was finally given the paper work. read more

I just want to thank SAM for welcoming me and my 2 kids. They love coming to get their teeth cleaned. The front desk weren't as friendly. Upon arrival, I walked in and front desk didn't greet me. I enjoyed the women in the back that assisted my kids, I think her name was Sam. She was very welcoming! I loved her personality. AND my kids loved her. My son is for the most part, a well behaved and calm kid. However, he is afraid of going to the dentist! He screams and cries and pretty much begs for them to let him get off the chair. He has been to three dentists before this one . During one of the visits to this office he wouldn't even allow the dental assistant to take x-rays because he was so afraid. I was beginning to worry that I would never find a dentist that would get the work he needed done because of his fear. Instead of giving up and going to another dentist, we decided to give Dr. Ancheta's office another shot and come back another day to get both x-rays and a list of work done all in one visit. We returned recently and although my son was crying the whole time, they got all the work done . It took about 3 hours but he came out acting normal and I was relieved to have a cavity free kid! What I appreciate is that Dr. Ancheta powered through it and got the job done. She even came out to talk to me for about 10 minutes. She seemed very caring and attentive when I voiced my concerns to her and told me in person, how everything went and what we needed to do from that day on. It's not often that you get a dentist or doctor come out after a long procedure and take the time to comfort you. The only complaint I have is that because of the waiting room being so small, you can practically hear everything going on in the back. I felt closed in as I was listening to my son and another child crying and screaming because the space wasn't so big. They also had a TV with Netflix on and i just wish that the front office staff kept up with putting on shows to both distract and drown out the noise a little. It was awkward sitting shoulder to shoulder with other parents listening to all that screaming and crying. It would be nice too if the front office staff gave us updates every so often. I didn't hear a word from them the whole 3 hours I was there. I've worked for doctors and I know that it helps to update family or patients who are waiting on their loved ones. It's just nice to give them that extra comfort . Other than that, I appreciate everyone who works there and I know they work really hard . read more

I just have to say I am that mom that is afraid of the dentist...... now as I am older and I have kids it's very challenging to upkeep with all of them so I finally decided to bring in my 4 year old son in for a consultation..... I was referred from another dental office. I scheduled the very next day for one side of his mouth to be worked on! He was so comfortable and he even went in by himself.... no assistance needed! Everyone is so sweet and so accommodating! Thank you so much Dr.Ancheta and staff!!!!
