A year and a half ago, I started seeing Claire and immediately realized that I had found something new. Compassion, trust, accountability, and a strong desire to help me be successful. I had never experienced this level of attention, focus, and ultimately, a sense of success and happiness. Claire provides a comforting approach to dark and difficult places. She allows a natural progression through emotions, conversation, and action items. Therapy requires work, and sometimes we feel discouraged from continuing. Claire makes treatment feel like a mental serum for self-confidence, accomplishment, and motivation. I am a massive supporter of therapy and self-care. I am the best version of myself today because of my work with Claire. I am still working on things in my life, which I believe is a continuous process. I find this statement to be ignorant and offensive. Apparently only middle and lower income patients would like to use the mental health benefits that they are already paying for through their health insurance. You have to be poor to use your health insurance. Therapy is about a safe space to express vulnerability with someone that you respect and it appears that I won't be finding that here with you, Catherine. Cute choice of verbiage. Thanks for looking down on us poor folks who are interested in using our insurance benefits...

I did a total of maybe 4 sessions with her and they were all virtual. I was a bit skeptical about it at first but it worked out just fine. There were no interruptions in our sessions and she always ensured we had a perfect set up before we started. Going through the journeys with her was almost a psychedelic experience for me. It helped entangle and resolve SO MANY of my inner obstacles that were blocking my journey of growth and liberation. We worked together for maybe about 2-3 months and in such a short amount of time I can see such big changes within me and around me. I'm truly grateful to have found her and highly recommend her!

Worth her weight in gold! I cannot recommend Kavitha enough…read more I spent most of my life resistant to the thought of counseling. So it took an onslaught of hardships for me to finally reach out for help. I was lucky in that I stumbled upon Kavitha quite by chance during her time with the Petaluma Counseling Center -- and I am so very grateful I did. Kavitha possesses a gentle patience. She easily hears and reiterates what is being said underneath it all. She keeps focused and utilizes various metaphors and analogies to promote understanding of what is happening. She sees the patterns, the greater whole, and offers manageable homework bullet points to work on at the end of each session. She isn't shy to offer resources outside of herself when necessary, be it other counselors, workshops, books, or worksheets. For me, all of the relationships in my life changed for the better due to our process together. I see my patterns, their origins, and the inclusive whole of their influence on my past and present. I gained tools to handle my anxieties and depression, and to prevent overwhelm before it starts. I can hear what my bodies sensations are telling me, sit with the emotions, and better yet, put my needs into words - and those words into actions. For me, my time with Kavitha has been transformative. It has equaled better boundaries, new agreements, and deeper intimacy. When I first met Kavitha I faced a world of hurt and she helped me through the fires to peace. If you are reading this looking for someone to speak to, I highly recommend her, and wish you all the best.
