I had one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered renting a property with them…read more The initial meeting was great, we signed a lease for one year with a verbal of two or more, wanting a place to start out with my young family. We were only able to view the house once before moving in, I have two kids under two and was newly postpartum. Shortly after moving in we learned there was a cockroach infestation (not disclosed). Not only that but we were told the house was cleaned before moving in, to then find out while moving in, it was not. Not soon after that we realized a leak in the basement. We worked to point out these issues and try and fix them because we already moved our family in, in a difficult market and we were just exhausted. We painted, we cleaned, we gardened, all to try and make best of the situation. After 4 short months of living there and starting to feel settled they decided to sell the house. We understood it was there business, so we worked to try and move. We received calls and texts daily about when we were getting out and people needing to view the home. While I am a new mom of two. Trying to move in the dead of winter was also a task, but we were trying even though we had a binding lease. We finally found a place, of someone we trusted as they were closing on a new house. Diane, after we agreed to move, then promised us she would help alleviate the costs of moving since we were having to shell out so much to accommodate. The house was still in closing, so we moved all our things out a few short weeks past her timeline but well before the lease agreement. We couldn't control the speed of the close and didn't want to get screwed over again by someone we didn't know. She called and said she would keep the agreement but on the day of handing in the keys, of a spotless, empty home of hers, she decided to not give us what was said once she had the keys. I should have been smarter, yes I should have checked these things but we really wanted to find a nice place for our girls to grow up in while 9 months pregnant. I could go on with so many details and receipts but simply put they do not keep their word, are not trustworthy and simply couldn't care less about the quality of their business. After the fact I did more research of which this was confirmed from other sources. Rudy was also not kind, very dismissive and rude. I am not looking for sympathy, because I should have known, but if it can prevent or help a family from stress, and hardship, like we went through, I hope to help.
