I was referred to Dr. Jamoona after finding out the terrifying news that I likely have a small brain aneurysm and a common brain artery defect.
The office staff was extraordinarily friendly, scheduled me an appointment upon receiving my referral in a swift manner, and promptly emailed me the documents they asked me to fill out and bring with me to my appointment. I was a little hesitant because the doctor I was referred to see referred me to Dr. Jamoona who's also in the same office, but I felt confident I was in great hands nonetheless.
Parking is valet only, and be prepared for a short wait beforehand and afterwards as the friendly and hard working valet employees also handle the valet services for the Anderson Lucchetti Medical Center (Sutter Hospital) across the way.
Be prepared to be screened for COVID beforehand via a employee asking you a series of questions and performing a touch less temperature check. Be sure to bring a beverage or snack if needed because their vending machines are currently not operational due to the pandemic. If you forget, there's always the hospital gift shop across the way.
Dr. Jamoona was engaging, friendly, honest, extremely knowledgeable, likeable, personable, polite, and respectful. I never felt rushed and not that I'm in need of it now or hopefully ever, but if I were to need brain surgery in the future I would feel extremely confident in his hands.
I was really blown away by the quality of Dr. Jamoona's visit, his medical and office staff, and the gorgeous saltwater aquarium I was able to gaze at and calm down before my visit because I'd forgotten to take my anxiety medication.
I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a neurosurgeon specializing in brain issues. Whether or not it's your first or second opinion, know you're in wonderful hands and I promise you won't be disappointed. Having been to a number of specialty doctors since my car accident three years and several months ago, I can state with authority and honesty his office is hands down the most organized and professional of any I've been to, and that's been many! Most are organized chaos at best and they're a well oiled machine. read more
