The hand-painted sign didn't really pull me in, but it should signify that this is a small shop, locally owned, by people who are interested in gems, and in particular amethyst. They have a pretty wide array of gems and stones. It's definitely intriguing to browse around, and the staff was very friendly and nice. Some big pieces of stone were said to have healing qualities. Some little stones would be great picks for jewelry. A nice place, you might find a gift for that cooky aunt that no one understands!

My friend and I were walking towards the skytrain when we spied upon this place and popped in. I have heard about it and followed its IG though I didn't pay attention to its location then. My friend was enthralled by the fossils and stones. I was quite overwhelmed by the shop. It has lots of things and the space is huge. I like crystals as I use them for healing purposes. Plus they are pretty. I love the wide array of crystals and gem stones. I did buy some for myself and other friends who are into crystals too. I think the prices are quite fair. Now I know of another place to get crystals.

I had a fabulous time at the Mejuri Piercing Studio! Thank you, Sarah, for your spectacular service…read more- from your patience as my friends and I chose our earrings, to your efficiency in getting us pierced, to your care in explaining the aftercare process. The three of us came in thinking we'd get one piercing each, and walked out with double the amount in the span of an hour! BOOKING: The process was quick and easy on the Mejuri website. No deposit is required, so you can rest easy if you do change your mind. Moreover, if you sign up for Mejuri's SMS+Email program, you can get 10% off towards your jewelry. Once you get to the studio, you can skip the line by letting them know about your appointment. STORE/STUDIO: Sleek, spacious, and sophisticated! There is a wide offering of jewelry to choose from, whether you're looking for dainty, more delicate pieces, or something with a bit more pop. The Piercing Studio is in a back room for privacy. SELECTION: The jewelry is more limited for in-store piercings, but they are all 14k white or yellow gold with threadless flat back titanium studs. You can choose from 8 types of piercings in the lobe and cartilage areas. (Note that for lobe piercings, healing will take at least 3 months, whereas for cartilage piercings, it is at least 6 months.) Prices currently range from $85 to $455. No matter how many piercings you get, the service fee will be $25 for your session (including a free check-up and post-downsizing) so you may find yourself easily tempted to get more like we did. PIERCING: If you're going with friends, I would recommend back-to-back sessions, so you can maximize your visit as the piercing itself is quite quick. We had ample time to select our jewelry and didn't feel rushed during our hour together. Sarah marked our ears to show where the jewelry would go and let us hold them up against our ears again to get an idea of placement. My only issue was that my helix piercing was slightly covered by my ear fold afterwards, though I plan to get a hoop later so I am not too fussed about it. The entire process was very efficient and sanitary, with gloves and sterilized, single-use equipment. Sarah also provided aftercare instructions, including purchasing Bactine and running warm water over our piercings during showers. Payment was done by tablet in the Piercing Studio, so there was no need to line up in the store which I appreciated.  Overall, I really enjoyed the whole experience and can fully understand why Mejuri is as popular as it is. I am already itching to go back for more piercings, but for now, these ears need some proper rest and recovery.

I have bought a few Mejuri pieces in the past, and I visited the store recently to take a look at one of their rings in person. It's really nice to have a store so that we can take a look at their pieces and try them on. I even brought a few of my own jewelry and asked them if they can unknot them, and they did it for me so quickly! The woman who helped me was super helpful and friendly. She helped me pick out a style that would suit me. I ended up leaving as a happy customer!
