This company handled the cremation of our beloved dog, Lucy. It took approximately one week to receive her remains back after she passed away. We were very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of her wooden urn. The bag holding her ashes has multiple identifying marks, including her name, disc I'd number, date of cremation, and the initials of the technician who performed the cremation. The wooden urn has a polished brass latch with matching lock and keys. They even included a brass name plate with her name (included in a separate envelope). My sweet dog passed away on May 10th & we have been absolutely heartbroken. Yesterday my vet called to let me know his ashes were ready. I really didn't know what to expect. I was very pleased with the presentation of his ashes and the craftsmanship of the urn. I received a certificate showing the date he was cremated and the person assigned to his cremation. I spent some time on the company's website & it's obvious they care about the business they are in & provide multiple references about caring for a cremation to ensure a pet owner receives the proper ashes. We lost Colby on March 28, 2018 our vet was very helpful, understanding, and compassionate at this time. We received his ashes back in a beautiful container, but we are very disappointed that the Paper label on the bottom of the container states "Cremated March 30, 2018 by Ames Diversified Services...Colby Burns" March 30 is not the date associated with our loss of Colby. Ames Diversified Services needs to be a little more compassionate, and accurate in their work. A card with a paw print, or a lock of hair, or some other notation with the correct date of his passing should be provided to the grieving family. Diane Burns read more

This morning I saw one of their employees picking up a beloved pet from my vets office. He threw the dog in his truck like a bag of trash. Sorry I missed the integrity and compassion. I was mortified. I have used this service before but never again. I really unloaded on him. Sure he won't soon forget it. read more

I just witnessed the same thing at a vet I had to use for my pet when she died on Wednesday. I used Tempe Veterinarian and I thought this was a great service when they explained all the options for my baby and that she would be taken care of with the same care I would expect for myself, until I came back the next day to make sure there was nothing I forgot to do. Before I even got out of my car, I saw someone bringing out a large bag from a side door, and he dropped it right on the sidewalk he looked around to see if anyone was looking and hurried up and picked up the pet and hurried over to his vehicle. I got out of my car and asked if he was ok and he said yes but there was not anything to worry about anyways because the dog was dead already and it didn't matter. I was mortified and I almost started crying this could have been my dog and he was treating her like a bag of trash. After he left I wet inside and asked what was gong on but the front desk person didn't know what I was so distressed about I couldn't stay there any longer so I asked who did them pet cremations for them and she said Ames diversified services so here I am making sure if it is possible that no one uses this service if they can help it! read more
