Only experience with them is with gold. I wanted to sell a gold coin. Very helpful and gave me top dollar. How did I know it was top dollar? I sell on ebay. Watched what similar coins sold for. More money than Ameripawn but then I have to deal with buyer, package coin, mail. Plus ebay charges 12%. In the end the money I would get from my ebay sell was less than Ameripawn paid. Plus easy to do business with, nice people and took 10 min. Usually takes me that long just to list my item on ebay. I am disappointed in the service here. A family member went in today to sell a TV and they offered to buy a 75" Samsung that was one year old for $125. The worker showed a listing that said the value was $300. The working TVs that matched on EBay were being sold for $750. My family member ending up saying they would just keep it then. The workers helped get the tv out of the car originally but then refused to help load it back in afterwards. They expected a woman with an injured wrist to get a 75" tv back in her vehicle because it was "her problem". Overall extremely disappointed and I am going to stop buying from here. read more

Let me just start the owner of Ameripawn is a good guy if that was the guy I've been dealing with last couple times there. I have no problems with him what so ever. My problem is with one of their workers. I was in this business for a hour 1/2 trying to rent a U-Haul. I called in a head of time about a hour before arriving. I get there things seem to run smooth then we have a discrepancy over the fuel gauge gas level. He was being persistent for me to sign the contract stating the fuel is 1/4 tank level, when in fact the gas light was on and it was barely over Empty. He still wanted me to sign for it even when I told him 3 times I'm going to the truck and I'm looking before sign. We go and look and it's what I stated barely over Empty. He still wants me to sign for the amount and says that we will credit $26 for the fuel. I ask how do I know that $26 will fill me 1/4 tank. At this point either I take the truck running on fumes and get screwed on the gas, or I leave. This man seemed frustrated even before we started talking. I told him I'm canceling my order and I'm going somewhere else. I told him enough of my time was wasted and I'm good. He was very rude at this point and told me to leave. I told him I call you a hour ahead and you still don't un-cover the truck from snow. The truck is running on fumes, with the gas light on and it's taking you a hour 1/2 to finish this deal. I said they should fire you, and I left there business. He starts yelling " what did you say " what did you say " as he got louder repeating. He then runs outside and starts hitting me with his chest and circling me. I told him they should fucking fire you. Then he pushes me. I told him hit me and I will sue your ass. I told him I'm calling the cops and then he ran inside. He comes back outside for the 2nd time all aggressive. He's running at me again and the boss is grabbing him restraining from attacking me again. This man is completely out of line. His frustration was directed towards me. I shouldn't have stated what I did to him but I feel the persistence and handling of this situation was very unprofessional and violent. This was a African American man. This happened at the AmeriPawn on Lincolnway in Valparaiso, IN. This man normally works at the Lake Station, IN. AmeriPawn as another customer there at the time stated this. I have never encountered this man before this incident. I am Not racist in any way and this is just a situation of 1 man disagreeing with the other. But the other man besides me takes it a little to far and puts his hands on people . I choose not to press charges as I don't want to be the one putting anyone in jail. I'm sure this establishment is a great place but my review is over their employee, who well needs to figure out how to handle things better. Putting it out there he's a taller skinny man, short hair, has chip on his shoulder, and seems to be under the influence of a stimulant as his pupils where like saucers and probably why he was more aggressive. First Ameripawn I've been to and been treated with such disrespect. guy was in line in front of me, he left on a phone call, so I was next, he came back in, and went next once the counter was free. I went up put my ticket on the counter and then all of a sudden attacked by the cashier's. I had no clue what they had going on. Apparently cashier said he was helping the guy already, but I had no idea, that was all he needed to say, but instead he showed his immaturity and disrespectful attitude along with the other cashier working with him. The main bad guy had a nose piercing and a hat, dirty black hair, other guy was more heavier set than him with a bald head and dirty redish brown beard. They both acted like they were 13 year old girls not getting their way. So embarrassing and uncalled for. They need to be fired and hire new good help. Went into store on Monday and was not greeted by anyone. I then went to coin section and waited for somebody to wait on me. After several minutes, went to front and asked if there was anybody at the coin area. A young lady said she could help and went to counter. They did not have what I wanted and was never asked if there was anything else that I was interested in. My wife and I looked at each other and left. My feelings are that if I, as a customer, have to hunt somebody down to wait on me, then the place is not interested in taking my money. read more
