We spent $5,000 on carpet for both the upstairs and downstairs our our 3 level home. The living room had rolls that were noticeable as soon as I got home from work. The installers assured my husband "it will smooth itself out. Just give it a few months." We're a year later and my living room carpet is WORSE than the first day of install.
Update: we called the store and they returned to our home to take corrective action. I appreciate that they were responsive when we complained, and made arrangements to correct the situation. The installer readjusted and re-stretched the carpet so that all of the large "tents" or peaks in the room have been laid flat again. I'm cautiously optimistic that the carpet will remain flat or that the store will return again to make it right should they issue recur.
