Despite a great location and a beautiful design this building is fraught with problems. The problem is security - or lack of it. The majority of the tenants have either had their car broken in, bike stolen, or had their apartment broken into. We were two-for-three. The landlord's (Parkway) response has been to install a monitor by the front door to show that you are being filmed as you enter. Problem is the monitor mostly shows scrolling images of the apartments upstairs. Kind of a teaser for potential burglars...
What's needed is a doorman, or, at the least, a full time on-site maintenance person. That won't change the fact that the elevator opens directly onto the unsecured parking lot (which has many dark corners, perfect for the occasional lurking interloper), or that there is no place for packages to go, so they are left out in the lobby in plain sight of the street.
Communication between Parkway and tenants ranges from non-existent to poor to hostile.
