County Line Orchard - Kids Farm Entrance

YMCA Field Trip with 4-6 year olds -- 7/10 County Line…read moreOrchard We went on a field trip with our local YMCA. Process was simple: wristbands, then separate lines for each instructor. You rotate through sections about bees, apples, and how they are processed. For 4-5-6 year olds it was easy to follow and they understood it. Then you load the trams to go pick. That's when they told us on the tram that we would NOT be picking directly off the trees -- we'd be picking out of a large skid box. They said it was due to early/late frost and bees not being able to pollinate, plus a very wet spring/summer. They should have notified us beforehand. The kids were expecting to pick off the tree, and it was disappointing to find out once we were already on the tram. After the tram ride back you can roam as long as you want. We went to the animals first -- you can't feed them and there wasn't anyone there explaining, so it's self-explanatory. We did the little motor trike bike track, which the kids enjoyed. We ate in The Kitchen. Good selection for kids. Prices were a little high but not too bad. You order, get a number, and wait in line -- it gets really packed and could use a better system, but the cooks and cashiers were doing their best. There's a nice table of samples -- chutney, mustard, aiolis and other things they sell. Gift shop area has honey, coffee, canned goods, candles, pumpkins, and a toy area (we tried to keep the kids away from that one!). Prices felt high compared to the other 5-6 orchards/pumpkin farms we've been to around here -- only one further south is more reasonable. Kids had fun. We hadn't been in about 3 years. Would we go back? Maybe -- it's questionable for us because there are cheaper, more hands-on options for little kids nearby.

This place offers apple & pumpkin donuts, various pies, sunflowers & apple picking. I used to love…read morethe donuts here but this time, it was a disappointment, both for the apple & pumpkin. It's the cake variety and all round a let down. Also tried the dutch apple pie & that was better but the quality seems to have really declined over the years. My favorite is the tractor ride that brings you out to the fields. They have a corn maze & sunflowers too. I really enjoyed walking around. Great service & value overall to be outdoors.

This place doesn't even deserve one star! I am absolutely appalled by our experience at Gino's…read moreBanquets. The venue delivered chaos, incompetence, and humiliation rather than the wedding we trusted them to provide. From the start, setup was a nightmare. Rhonda made the experience unnecessarily difficult. She tried to squeeze us into only half of the hall, despite our clear agreement and guest count. She continuously argued about how we chose to set things up and even questioned our food selections, decisions that were already finalized and paid for. We did not hire Rhonda as our planner / decorator so it came as a complete shock to have her interfering with so many of our choices. What should have been a smooth, joyful setup quickly turned into a frustrating experience due to her overstepping and lack of respect for our plans. She repeatedly refused to allow us to set up our own equipment, and only after escalating to the owner were we finally permitted to proceed. This kind of disorganization at the outset set the tone for the event The food was an embarrassment. Cold, bland, and generic, it tasted like frozen banquet hall food. We chose family-style service, yet there weren't even enough pieces of chicken for each table. Guests were disappointed, and it was humiliating to serve such subpar meals on what should have been a celebratory day. The staff's behavior was blatantly unprofessional. During the ceremony, speeches AND first dances, employees were laughing and talking in the back, forcing multiple guests to ask them to quiet down. Then came the issue with the ID, which was completely unnecessary and humiliating. Not a single guest, including my husband and all of my bridesmaids, was asked for identification. Yet I, the bride, was singled out on the dance floor and publicly demanded to show ID, which was in the bridal suite since I wasn't carrying a purse. I calmly offered to go retrieve it, but instead I was ordered to dump out my drink in front of everyone. Already embarrassed and trying not to make a scene, I did as instructed, feeling like my night had been completely ruined. As I stood there, the operations manager / bartender, and several employees watched and whispered as if I had done something wrong. It was degrading, uncalled for, and completely unprofessional. Even after the reception ended and we were tearing down THE NEXT DAY, staff continued to harass me and family members for identification. To make matters worse, the security guard on duty was drinking on the job. This selective and disrespectful treatment was invasive and unacceptable. Every staff member was tipped reasonably, so this behavior was not about compensation. It appears to be ingrained negligence and poor leadership from management. This venue is utterly unprofessional. Between the disorganized setup, terrible food, disruptive staff, unsafe security practices, and the humiliating selective ID enforcement, our wedding was marred by stress, embarrassment, and frustration rather than joy. I strongly advise any couple to avoid this venue entirely if you expect your wedding day to be handled with professionalism or respect.

I loved that we did not have to choose our other vendors from "a list of preferred vendors" which is common with other banquet halls. The hall has centerpieces that you can use or adapt however you wish, which is helpful on a tight budget. They also have an arch available, which saved time and money searching for one to rent from another company. The food was fantastic! We served roast beef, cheese tortellini, baked chicken, red potatoes, and green beans almondine. We looked at many other places before booking and we found that they were the most reasonably priced. The only complaint I have is that there is nowhere to take pictures outside of the venue. It is beautiful inside but the hall is located on the end of a strip mall. If you want an indoor/outdoor option or an outdoor place to take pictures beforehand or during cocktail hour, you are out of luck. However, this is easy to work around since there are many parks fairly close by. We had originally planned to do our pictures before the ceremony at a local park but it rained all morning. The staff allowed us to arrive an hour early and use the lobby for our photos.

Let me WARN you about the manager name Rhonda. She has this deal where she say's if you pay your entire bill in cash that she will refund you 10% back, THAT'S A LIE!! She told us we can continue to pay on our bill and as long as we paid everything in cash then we would be honored the 10% back after the final bill. She lied and changes everything up in the end. Make sure you have every agreement written down. And if she says she'll remember and honor it DON'T believe her! She complained about being understaffed as if that is our problem. She is unprofessional always cursing! When my husband and I did the cake cutting, the staff was of course suppose to serve the cake and ice cream. You think that happened, NO. They sat the pieces out on a table and ice cream well. I had sooo much cake left over and no one had ice cream of course because it wasn't served to them and it melted. They didn't notify us that that was the plan (BECAUSE THAT WAS NOT THE PLAN)they just did what they wanted! We were told that we had to 11pm for the DJ to play music and some random lady starts acting sooo rude and demands us to shut down at 10pm. But the cook was a sweetheart and food was ok. But I would never do business with this place again if Rhonda is still the manager.

We spent over $3000 for lighting and a DJ and I honestly could have had a better experience by making a playlist on my iPhone and hooking it up to a speaker. Chris was rude to one of my guests who was helping my videographer set up a slow motion video booth. He was most likely bitter that I had not chosen his ridiculously expensive photo booth option. My friend, who helped me hire the videographers, essentially gave me the slow motion video booth as a wedding gift, and Chris acted like he stole money from him. The worst part of the night wasn't the fact that he was rude to a guest, nor was it his lack of enthusiasm when doing any sort of announcement, and it honestly wasn't even that he couldn't follow rules that he specifically outlined with regards to the playlist (why would you play a song that I specifically requested to NOT to play)...it was the fact that the dj that I spent a good portion of my budget on LEFT the dj booth WITH HIS ASSISTANT to go outside and smoke! Now Chris will claim that he "set up a playlist" but I can tell you, and my guests can confirm, that whatever "playlist" he created was just a loop of Whitney Huston "I wanna dance with somebody". After the second time it played, (mind you, he or his assistant have not come back to check on their dj booth) one of my guests tried to simply hit "next" on his computer. Then the song started skipping. All the while, Chris and his assistant were nowhere to be found. I couldn't believe it. To make matters worse, Chris continued to screw things up for the rest of the night, replaying not songs that had already played, playing songs that weren't even on our list, etc. Do not give this man your money! You will not be satisfied. Horrible horrible horrible.
