There's always a very friendly attendance inside and whenever I visit, I try to get everyone a round of drinks, as it's the least I can do. Be careful members, this moose changes their rules and bi laws to benefit their crooked employees…read more The bartender Lacy is an absolute nightmare to members and they still allow her to serve. Even though the bi laws say disorderly conduct is not allowed. She made false accusations against my car to get it towed. Shame on the president Mike Cotta for not doing his due diligence to ensure due process was completed correctly. They had my car towed within 45 minutes of me parking it! I was a member but I will not be renewing. Or giving another penny to them! I parked my vehicle on moose property, that I pay to be at, went to grab my food at Brads and they towed my car! Cost me $400! I am an active moose member who even donated to the women's of the moose and they felt the need to tow my car so the "old timers" could have a space. If you're young and Mexican don't come here. They discriminate against anyone who doesn't look like them, elderly and Caucasian. Member or not. If anyone else experienced anything like this, I do have a lawyer, so do not hesitate to reach out. Do not let them get away with being crooked because they have "authority" at a "non profit", that actually makes ton of profit...

I grew up in Santa Maria and this place was always the paragon of excellence, but I had never…read morestayed there. Cue to a few weeks ago my son and I got rooms there. We got rooms in the original part, and it's aged and refurbished time and time again visibly. No noise in the rooms which was nice and mine was fairly large, also nice. Lack of plugs next to the bed was a minus - I had to move the actual mattress a little from the wall and plug in cell phone charger. The property is cool and historic. Walking through the lobby is a kick. I have to say, the tavern I did NOT expect to be so lively at night. I didn't get a chance to go in, but will next time - it looked crowded and fun. All in all, I'd stay there again!

She took my information and told me my room was not ready. I asked if there was an estimate as to when it would be ready. She contacted housekeeping and her answer was, "they will call me". I told her I had a speaking engagement. That I was not pleased but I kept smiling. Nothing. I finally asked where the restroom was so I could change while waiting. She told me where it was and I went and changed. I am not happy. I came back. I sat down. I got someone's attention and asked if I could be told when the room would be ready. A few moments later the original young lady gave me my room key. It is pretty obvious that the room was almost done. A bit of effort on her part would have saved me from changing in the restroom. *sigh*
