They apologized for the mistake and prorated the amount for the shorter timeframe. They also discounted a weight overage, and that was appreciated. They offered to deliver a new dumpster, but said I'd have to pay another dumpster fee, but I declined and I'll just disperse what's left of the demo job in my home trash over the next few weeks. Here's where I think things could be better. This business seems to steer clients to book online. I called via phone many times, but the calls mostly went to voicemail. Speaking to someone in the first place may have prevented this issue, as the online portal mistakenly entered for my dumpster to be picked up a day early. They called before they were on their way to deliver the dumpster, which is nice. They did not call when they picked it up. They offer to charge an extra fee for additional days if needed. How would they do that if they don't answer the phone? Maybe there is a way to alter your order after it's been placed? But if there is, it wasn't clear to me. This was my first time renting a haul off dumpster from them. I could probably do it again without problems now that I know how the system works. They do have some of the best prices in San Diego area. The people that I did speak with were friendly.

This is by far the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Cami who took my order gave me the dimensions of the bin I was going to receive as 4' x 8' x 16'. I verified these dimensions with her three times during our phone call. She told me that I had to pay an extra $125 to have it delivered on Saturday which was the only day they had available before my crew is coming to help me clean out my garage. They charged my credit card for the full amount of $594 for the bin including 1000 pounds of trash for a week including the $125 that I had to pay to have it delivered on Saturday. Then Friday afternoon I got a call from them saying he was on his way and he would be there in 45 minutes. When he arrived he had a 2' x 8' x 16' bin on his truck so I told him that it wasn't the one I ordered and I couldn't use it since the level of my garbage would be far beyond 2 feet high. I had some tall stuff that needed to be disposed of from my garage and he said he didn't work for Affordable Dumpster rentals that he worked for another company and they booked the delivery through his company so they made the mistake. I called and got Antonio on the phone and was told if I refused the delivery I would have to pay a refusal charge. I told him I wasn't gonna pay a refusal charge because I didn't make a mistake. We argued for 20 minutes while he told me that Cami had told me the dimensions incorrectly and that she also said they were about 4' x 8' x 16'. She never said it was going to be 2 feet high or even that it could be 2 feet high or I wouldn't have ordered it. So today is Monday and I received a call from them after I requested a full refund telling me that I would only receive $219 back and then I was going to have to pay $375 for a refusal fee. I explained to George that I wasn't willing to pay that because I didn't make the mistake. We argued for 20 minutes and I finally just hung up after I told him I was going to sue them for the rest plus damages for harassment and failing to follow through with their side of the bargain.
