We chose Vostok Construction to remodel our primary bathroom/bedroom that had lots of water damage. We knew that it would be a big job (needed new subfloor and floor joists and studs in one wall) and they took care of us. They were very careful to make sure their mess didn't get anywhere outside of the job site, took their time to make the finishes look just right, and were courteous and kind to myself and my kids. And Igor's tiling is absolutely stunning. I have high standards for finishes and I cannot find a flaw in our tile--he's that good. Eric and Alex were super helpful with seeing our vision and explaining what would be cost effective but also functional. I never felt like either of them pushed me to do something I didn't want (and as a people pleaser, that's hard!). The job had a couple of rough spots (bad plumbing from the previous contractor, and a paint color mixup etc.) but each time there was an issue, the communication was clear and they let us know what needed to be done. They were patient when we realized our faucets and other metal finishes weren't matching and did their best to help us find what we needed. They finished the job in the timeframe they quoted us even with some hiccups along the way. I would 100% recommend Vostok Construction (and I have to some friends!). I hope to use them again in the near future for some more bathrooms and a living room overhaul.

Would not recommend Rose Remodeling - we met with this company at the Home show and set up an appointment- the sales rep (Eric) came out on the 4th in the evening, took measurements, we went over what we wanted and he said he would get us an estimate - haven't heard a peep - don't waste your time as they will waste yours and not communicate - he also kept saying "this is going to be expensive" without even knowing our budget. My husband was concerned that the sales guy didnt act like he knew what he was doing when talking through what we wanted, measuring - then we sat our our table for 15 minutes while he scrolled home depot site showing us shower heads -- I told him he could just send us something as I was losing patience -- so he said he would send us an estimate and left - that was 10 days ago - not an email saying working on it, not a can't do it -- nothing. I appreciate small businesses and want to support them but not to my time and expense. I also understand (from my past experince being a home show participant) that there may be an influx of sales calls, etc..however that is not an excuse for zero communcations after an inperson sales meeting. Poor leadership, sales and attention to detail which unfortunately for the team doing the work could cause more problems. Recommend to owners to be honest - if your sales team doesn't want to do the work or can't - just say so - don't say you're going to do something and never deliver!!! Also, why waste your money at the home show if this is how your sales team operates? If they don't communicate before the project, imagine the lack of communication during the project!!! RED FLAGS! I'm leaving two stars as the sales rep did provide a good picture of work Rose has done in the past that now I can use to show other companies what I want.

My house was built in 1962 and most of my bathroom components were original. I wanted to have both…read morebathrooms remodeled because they were both very ugly and depressing. I had several contractors stop by to give me estimates - a lot of contractors were very sloppy in their estimates, telling me they would give me a bathroom in five days or asking me to buy all the supplies, etc (as if I would know what to get), or telling me they can do it for $5k without permits. Anywho, Ivan from Vitex stopped by and asked a lot of questions on what kind of vision I had, and when I did not know an answer, he made suggestions. For example, he suggested I add a shower light - that's something I did not think of at all - and also pointed out things that were required for code upgrades, etc. The entire process was very transparent. After I received the quote, I met Ivan at the warehouse in Rancho Cordova and he helped me pick out the tile for the wall and the floor. Again, I'm clueless and he made the right recommendations that made sense. The crew arrived on day one and these guys work hard and other than their lunch breaks, they don't stop until the end of the workday. The workers were very pleasant and diligent. Very friendly. I really enjoyed having them here and they did excellent work. Once they were done, I proceeded to hire Vitex for bathroom #2, which involved removing a jet tub to build a walk in shower. This time I worked with Arthur, who was also excellent and the same worker crew. They did an excellent job with that bathroom, as well. What also helped was being in touch with Victor, the owner, via group text to keep me up to date on the project, etc. Also, for anyone doing their due diligence, Vitex is fully licensed and the work they did passed the City of Sacramento's inspection, so these guys are legit. We have lived in our home for 12 years and were looking for a reliable contractor to remodel our entire home. We plan to be in this home for a long time and really needed someone who would show the care and attention to our home. We interviewed several contractors and Joe with CB Homes matched our communication style and genuine care for the work performed. We planned to move out of our home due to the large scope of the project and needed someone we could trust and rely on without us being inside the house. Joe proved to be reliable and trustworthy. He showed up when he said he would and if he needed to adjust scheduling he communicated clearly and worked with us. He was excellent at managing the many different elements and phases of the project to keep us involved in the key decision making while keeping the project on schedule. Many people told us no way the project would be complete by our 3 month target but we were able to move back home exactly when we planned to. The quality of the work was exceptional and Joe provided us suggestions and recommendations while respecting our unique sense of style. I.E.
