What a fantastic meal! Our server was Hamish and I've seldom had some recommend dishes with such passion and outstanding knowledge of the ingredients to create perfect cocktail pairings!
We ordered the rainmaker and missionary's downfall at our server's recommendation and both drinks were some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Later on, my husband got an Inca Haze. Also an excellent drink!
Moving on to food, we asked out server for recommendations and followed his direction and he did not steer us wrong. The chargrilled jalapeno sausage was flavorful, delicious and had great dipping sauces. I wish it was a bit more jalapeno-y, but I know spicy food scares people here... We moved on to the Pork Belly and Broccolini. Wow. The pork belly had a perfectly crispy layer of skin on top, the inside was tender and not overly fatty (due to the rotisserie cooking process maybe) and served on black bean sauce with pineapple salsa. Fantastic! And who gets excited about broccolini? Anyone who eats the broccolini from here. Delicious! We scrapped every bit of sauce off the plate under the veggies.
To finish we got the Zesti Roasted pineapple. Wonderful taste explosion! Fruity, spicy, creamy,, everything you want in a dessert. I also appreciate how helpful our server Hamish and the other staff were. About 90% through our meal another couple was seated next to me, who I can only describe as a perfume-bomb. The smell was so overwhelming it was almost sending me into an asthma attack and I couldn't breathe. The put our dessert into a to-go container and got our bill and we were able to finish our meal on the patio out front. I hate people who dip-dye their body in perfume and fumigate the rest of us. I appreciate the restaurant's help in allowing me to escape from the cloud of perfume as soon as possible. read more
