AM/PM's lead vet, Dr. Scott Lee performed surgery to correct Entropion eyelids on a rescue pitbull we fostered to adopt. Annenberg PetSpace arranged the surgery, there was some confusion as we were fostering, to get authorization to pick up the dog Post Op. After several calls we were able to pick up the dog. The tech was very helpful and kind, Yandy, gave us instructions on the meds and how to administer them, told us to come back in 2 weeks. Then when we were told to bring the dog back in two weeks for stitches to be removed, we again weren't authorized to set the appointment. Annenberg needed to do it, and Dr Lee was unavailable. We were told any of the veterinarians on staff could remove the stitches. However, in trying to get approval, Annenberg to the stitches out at their PetSpace facility. We would still like to come back to AM/PM for a follow up visit. Again, we were told Annenberg would have to verify we adopted the dog, even though we told the receptionist we have all the documentation to prove we are the new owners of the dog. One eye had a significant drop we would like Dr Lee to see if it a concern. Will keep you posted. read more

Their check in system and staff are problematic. I had to take my pet for a wellness check and the checked in at 11am and they told me it would be a 5hr wait.. the wait isn't what bothered me. The system gives "real time alerts, and while waiting you're able to see where you are at on the system. After roughly after 3 1/2hrs it finally said you're next and I made my way inside and waited. 15mins later nothing and the staff called another dog and called the owner to ask how long they would be. I asked one of the office staff about a status as I allegedly was next and I watched them barely print out the paperwork to place us in the waiting list. We get called up and Then they "blamed" it on internet issues and saying that there must have been a glitch in the waitlist because our name had passed, I asked them, then why didn't you give us a call we were waiting outside and she did not provide a response... We finally entered the room and they still had the wrong paperwork. They came back in and then told me "oh it's because we had another client with your name. That's why." I then asked how much long now since we're in the room and she said I don't know. The vet has 2 others before you. No "I'm sorry for the delay" or even admitting they had messed up in the first place! The Vets are nice here and they really care for the dogs and are so quick. I don't know if this is just a one off issue or what but some of office staff here do not have the best friendly attitude like the vets here. read more

Went to a location in Gardena for a dental extraction for my dog who recommended AM PM Ideal Pet Care to me since my dog is 13 years old and had some other issues coming in today. Drive here from Culver City, and it's well worth it. They don't take appointments but that also works out well when you have a pet that you want to be seen same day. It wasn't too bad. I ended up waiting about 90 minutes as a walk-in and you register on a kiosk and you can wait in your vehicle if you don't want to sit in the waiting room. Dr Jinny Lee was really easy to work with, gave detailed diagnostics for the cat I brought in, it's one that had probably some undisclosed injuries and she really took her time and answered questions, didn't feel rushed. Administrator Guadalupe was equally warm and accommodating and I really felt like I was being treated as a patient for myself, not just for my kitty. Very clean facilities, and though we all know veterinary care is expensive, I do feel they were trying to watch my budget and giving me options without making me feel guilty which ones I chose or did not choose. This review is long overdue since we've been here many times, but this one is mainly for our visit on Friday, 04/24/26. First, I really like the QR code check in near the reception desk. It's super easy to use, and once you fill it out, it gives you an estimated wait time and even shows your place in line. We usually wait in the car, and they call us when it's time to head over, then again once the room is ready. I love that system it's convenient and keeps everything running smoothly. The front desk staff has always been kind and welcoming. I've honestly never had a bad experience with anyone there. Yesterday, the girl to my right with glasses was especially awesome (I didn't catch her name), and the girls who helped me later that night when I picked up Molly were great too. I'm so glad I found a vet that is open on Sundays. My cat had to be seen for a bladder blockage and had to spend a few nights there to recover. Dr. Lee is amazing. Neutered my healthy 1 year old cat at AMPM and ever since then my cat has fallen ill with diarrhea.Right after surgery he started making a growling cry when he uses his litter box. I called them and took him in. He was tested for parvo which was negative. They wanted me to pay $780 for blood and stool test. I paid the consultation, antibiotics and the special food however My pet has not gotten any better. At the time of visit he had already lost almost 3lbs from what he weighed right before getting neutered with them. I clearly told them my cat got sick there and they have no sympathy or care. I had to bring my kitten in for emergency surgery, and the experience overall was very positive. The doctor was great as she updated us throughout the process, thoroughly explained the procedure, the risks, and broke down the costs for everything. She was attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. The surgery itself was quick. The only thing I found surprising was that when we returned two weeks later for a post-op check-up and suture removal, we were charged for it. I thought follow-up visits like this were usually included in the quote along with the surgery as I was charged a little under 7k, so that felt a bit odd to me. The "check up" consisted of a different Dr lightly pressing her stomach and removing the stitches. Not including the waiting time, this appointment took less than 3-5 minutes. So FYI, If your pet gets surgery here, expect to be charged for a follow up, something that is necessary to make sure your pet is healing well from the surgery THEY performed mind you. read more

Took my cat in for an upset stomach and lethargy. They immediately recommended a $70 test for PARVO, a fatal disease for cats. They came back and said the results were positive, not just a little PARVO, but TONS. Therefore my options were to keep my cat in intense overnight stays at the vet, not cheap OR I would have to put my cat down since the PARVO would kill him without the overnight stays. I WAS TORN APART. Someone said I could get a second opinion elsewhere, so I did I went to VCA West Coast Animal Hospital in Fountain Valley. They had a different test MEANT FOR CATS. The test at AM/PM was MEANT FOR DOGS. Therefore they said I might have got a false positive at AM/PM. After opening a line of credit to get my cat this test, the results were a HARD NEGATIVE FOR PARVO. My cat was just dehydrated and needed a quick IV fluid treatment. THANK YOU VCA WEST COAST ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Without that 2nd opinion, I would've had to put my cat down since $1000 a night stay is a bit much. FOR ANY SERIOUS OR DIRE SITUATIONS REGARDING YOUR PET, PLEASE TAKE THEM ELSEWHERE. This place might convince you to spend $$$$$ or put your pet down due to inaccurate tests. read more

They gave our dog some fluids, a shot for nausea and diarrhea and some probiotics, we get the rest of the test results tomorrow...walked out of there for $370. Came here on an emergency basis. I'm glad we came. Dr. Lee was so awesome. Let us know of the possibilities and did his best. His best worked for us. He cured our tiny Yorkie. She overate and was dehydrated. And she's one that drinks so much water Hahahahah. It was scary. But the staff were helpful. It approximately cost us about $775 for ultrasound, check up, labs, medicine and IV. They kept my baby warm and the clinic was soooo clean. I loved the clean smell. I am extremely unhappy with my experience at this vet. I brought my dog in while she was sick and vomiting and was forced to wait for HOURS. During this time, the front desk staff ignored me, gave dirty looks, and completely disregarded my questions and concerns about my pet. The clinic also attempted to charge absurd amounts for services without going into detail about them first, which is unacceptable. There was a serious lack of transparency with charges and payment methods, which is now very clear looking at reviews pointing out the same exact thing. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of this vet hospital. It came recommended to me by a friend and a rescue. While I have pet insurance for my indoor cats, I do not for my outdoor strays that I take care of. One of them fell ill recently and I dreaded the costly expense. Once I was told about AM PM Ideal Pet Care and the fact that it was walk in only and open until midnight, I was hopeful. I called ahead of time to see if their wait list was still open. I was told they didn't close the wait list until 7 pm. I drove over and used the QR code posted outside to check in. I was immediately sent a link to view where I was in line. I went home and got my stray outdoor cat ready. I received notification via text that I was next in line and to return. We waited in the parking lot until it was our turn. Once we were called in, we went to an examination room immediately. The vet assistant was kind to my scruffy cat. It was a bit of a wait before the vet came in. He was kind and gentle with my cat as well. His diagnosis was quick, certain things were suggested but I was told that I had the option to decline whatever I wanted to. I was also told by the vet to please return if my cat worsened. Overall the staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. The wait is a bit, but not the worst. I was very happy with the care Sam received and by the next morning he was looking and feeling better. I highly recommend this facility if you have an urgent need for your pet to see a vet and are on a budget. I've had bad experiences in the past with vets, this is definitely not one of them. Everything went great I've been there since my dog was puppy and know he's grown. And I still take him there.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ON WEBSITE. They will not do allergy testing on your cat because "it is not common for cats to have allergies." DO NOT COME HERE for that. Do not see Dr. Lee. Even though it is not common for cats to have fatty tumors, my cat has one. My cat has an uncommon ear problem as well. Lots of uncommon things, and Dr. Lee wouldn't even look at his medical records from a specialist to see that he has a healthy eardrum and that it might be an allergy issue. Complete waste of time and he lied and said he would look at the records and then sent in a vet tech with a list of recommendations, like VCA, when he has a VCA membership because thats his vet and we were there for TESTING like they advertise. VITA M's response below is a lie. Its wasn't evident my cat had problems, him or his records were not looked at & I was there for allergy testing NOTHING ELSE and was provided a list of places to go. Anyone that has been to this establishment and was printed a list for a service they offer deserves a refund! read more
