Suddenly on the day with no prior warning, the guy walked into the apartment without knocking. I screamed as I had just jumped out of the shower and was in my bedroom of this open plan apartment with the door open and naked; a male STILL entered the apartment smiling and saying "sorry...." I had grabbed the doona and semi covered myself but still not fully - as he proceeded to enter the apartment, and I yelled "get the (f) out!"
I then remembered something about the switchboard operator was coming some time. I closed the bedroom door and then yelled "okay you can come in now,". He didn't hear me it seems and eventually he knocked on the door again and I let him in. We had a laugh and I apologised for screaming in alarm and swearing. He laughed, too, and said he would've done the same. He said did you not know and I said "I did but just didn't remember which day". We continued to chuckle about it.
After a few minutes - I suggested to him "just a tip, if someone screams - don't keep opening the door". He turned red and got defensive. I told him I wasn't having a go, just a suggestion. He said "I was a shock", I said "that's fine, it's just a tip going forward". He said " I was trying trying to announce who I was" I said "that's okay - I'm not harassing or criticising you at all, but if someone screaming don't keep entering the apartment - just a tip" He was a young guy. He shut me down. I joked with him that he was less worried about the screaming & swearing and he was about the tip. He grunted he was going to do his work and ignored me. I left him alone.
Next thing I know I know "Linda" Ringsme up and start off very confrontational and aggressive, stating that I screamed at her work man out of the blue for no reason. She was very accusatory and she had received absolutely no details from him. I told her that this approach was incredibly unprofessional and I told her what actually happened.
She was lost for words as she clearly had no details and just run to protect her little angel. She then said "that's not how he feels" !!! and I said "Linda I don't care about how he feels, I care about the FACTS". She became super combative, accusing me of "of course you do not care about how he feels!!". I said "Linda I don't care about how he feels if how he feels is not based on FACTS - how about how I feel about how you calling me with accusation, confrontation, and aggression - with absolutely no actual facts?" She flipped the narrative, and accused me of being aggressive and shouting at her at her and "I said Linda I am DEFENDING myself - not being aggressive - against your false accusations, plus speaking loudly because you're constantly speaking over me"
She then accused me of being "rude to everyone in the office". I had spoken to her and him only, she claimed I had spoken to someone to tell them to get the key from the real estate agent, which I had NO memory of that ever occurring, and she started taunting me about not remembering "don't you remember?!" in a mocking tone. Perhaps they demanded I stay home all day and I declined - and that's considered "rude" in this extremely fragile but at the same time aggressive workplace?
Every time she didn't have an response, she would just say "we're not sending an electrician out to you again", which is such a lame way of deflecting from the fact that everything she was saying was proving false, and coming apart as everything became sketchy as she had no details,
They sound like a gang of bullies at this point.
I asked why an SMS wasn't sent on the day - she insisted it was. I asked what number it was sent to and the name of the business - she was so caught out that she hung up.
