I have been working for Altres for almost a year. The Hilo team is professional, kind, helpful and supportive. I feel very supported by the team and by Branch manager Tanya. She has keen insight: she instantly understood me as a worker and person. She has always been extremely supportive and considerate. Tanya and the team have placed me at a variety of positions over the last year. It's been a real joy working with everyone on the team. (They even came out to support my live music, after they got off work one day!) Once on a job with Altres, I worked with a gentleman who moved to Hawaii from California. Unknowledgeable, unresponsive, seemingly uneducated office of cackling women. Very simple minded thinking going on here. I come with over 10 years of strong admin experience supporting several directors of an upscale firm, and was told I didn't qualify for a very low-end receptionist position. I went in to apply for a temporary position they took my name made me fill out a bunch of paper work and the worker in there went over it and she looked like she wasn't very impressed with with me or my application which was quite alright with me because I wasn't impressed with her professionalism as well seems less educated about the position that they have and talk about a bunch of cackling hens worse than on the farm I got my first job with ALTRES staffing back in the 90s which a temp turned into a full time position for me I have been out of the work force for 3 yrs for which I became a Theraputic teaching foster parent she said she was going to look over my application and up date my contacts and give me a call it's been 2 wks no phone call I would say my chances of her calling back are slim to none read more
