You are taking a risk if you send your child to this daycare. There is one woman here in particular…read morethat does not care about you or your child's best interests. Her name is Allison and she's in charge of this mountaintop branch specifically. My child was there for over a year and a half. Every time my child should of been moved up it took prompting from myself to have it happen. The most recent time was in October when I realized my child was four and a half and still in the class with mostly three year olds when I went to pick him up one day. After some prompting they agreed to move him up to the pre-k where he belonged. Up until this point my child had no problems with his behavior or anything. The first week he had problems adjusting to pre-k and had a couple behavior issues. I thought nothing of it because he's 4 and it all seemed completely normal to me. That changed after the weekend though when I went to drop him off Monday and at the door they said after today he's no longer welcome at pre-k. After several phone calls to go above this Allison woman's head they told me that they would put him back with the 3 year olds and give him another shot in a couple months. With our situation and not many daycare in the region especially during covid we conceded...Fast forward 5 months to this week! Finally they let him go back to pre-k. He has one bad day of five days this week of misbehaving where he throws a toy and hits a kid and they tell me he's no longer welcome at all at that building blocks location. They don't care about your work situation or need for childcare and they certainly don't care about your child's welfare or growth. If a child has a problem adjusting to the next level you help him adjust, give him more time, and figure out the problem and work with the parents. You don't call them at the end of the day Friday to say there's nothing we can do he's not welcome anymore and by the way you can't get ahold of anyone the rest of the weekend because it six o'clock...click. They also kicked out one of my buddies kids as well for being "difficult". You are taking a risk if you send your child here. If he ends up going through a phase or becomes difficult they will randomly tell you one day that your child is no longer welcome here. Even if your child has been here for a year or two they do not care. They'll try to say that it has to do with the welfare and safety of the other kids but really they just don't care and are unwilling to do the work and they are not personally invested in your child's progress or development. Children act up and go through phases. If anything a daycare and preschool like this should be the experts in this category. This daycare is not. You shouldn't live in fear of whether your child is going to be able to go back to daycare day to day. You should be able to drop your kid off and feel safe knowing that your child is socializing and getting better with people who care about him. Not the case here at Building Blocks Mountain Top. You are taking a risk sending your child here. Thanks for reading. Good Luck with your daycare search!

As a first year dance mom I accidentally scheduled my child's Sweet and Sassy birthday party on the…read moresame day as dance pictures. I had scheduled the party in December and the dance teacher scheduled pictures in January. I never saw the update until about two months before the party when i was handing out invitations to my daughter's dance class. When I realized this happened I sent a private message to the dance owner pleading to make this work since this was a party we saved up for all year. In writing, She stated, "yes the other parents worked it out after class that they would be able to head there right after pictures". I followed up with the owner in person the following Monday and asked her if I should try to move the party back an hour. She stated, "no this shouldn't be a problem". She denies this interaction but the other parent I asked in front of remembers it. A month and half goes by and not a single person warns me that this might not work out. In fact the other parents in the class are encouraging. They say that she runs on time with pictures and sticks to her schedule.Picture day arrives and I show up 30 minutes early just be sure everything goes smoothly. I notice Miss Angela is taking a really long time to start pictures. We end up starting pictures 15 minutes late. The other parents are mentioning to me that it's weird that she's not starting yet. I don't think anything of it at the time. Then she lets the girl who came in after us in a completely different time slot go in front of my daughter's class for their second class pictures. A picture session that was supposed to take 15-20 minutes (at tops 45 minutes if things didn't go well) was taking an hour and 20 minutes. Which meant that we were now 20 minutes late for my daughters birthday party. A party that cost $490. I go back to the picture room to retrieve my daughter because SHE can't be late for her own party, she can just miss the rest of the pictures. Miss Angela slams the door in my face and no one lets me have access to my daughter for another 10 minutes. I message Miss Angela hoping that maybe she just forgot and didn't realize it was me trying to get my daughter and is going to apologize. I see that she read the message and I get no response. I wait all day Sunday to send another message. Now I'm thinking do we return to this studio for class on a Monday? I get no response until Tuesday Morning after my daughter missed dance class Monday night. Miss Angela tells me that I can meet her in person. I meet her in person on Wednesday. I expected the conversation to go something like, "I'm so sorry. I completely forgot. I know we talked about this". INSTEAD she starts telling me how wrong it was of me to interrupt the pictures. Then she says, "sorry" but she's rolling her eyes while she's saying it. Her body language is completely incongruent with her words. I ignore it for a minute until I finally ask her why she is rolling her eyes when she's saying sorry. She then proceeds to gaslight me until I feel like I'm acting like a crazy person and start crying. She starts looking at me in disgust and doesn't show an ounce of empathy. I ask her why she took so long to respond to me when in the past it's been much faster. Her words, "I dealt with you when I was ready to deal with you". Then she lets it slip that I put her in a bad situation with the parents in the class. She says that I made her feel like she had no choice but to say yes it was okay because she didn't want to look bad in front of the other parents. It was at that point that everything connected. That statement linked with the confusion of the parents on picture day as to why she was taking forever to start made me realize this lunatic, owner of En Avant Dance, purposefully sabotaged my daughter's birthday party. A 7 YEAR OLDS BIRTHDAY PARTY in an attempt to get back at me. We have since moved onto another dance school. The atmosphere at the new dance studio is light, professional, and kind. Three things I never noticed En Avant never had.

We've had an INCREDIBLE experience here! Miss Angela and her whole team have just been amazing and…read moreour little Sophia loves taking class here! Highly recommend :)

The owner is Glen Fulton and their business phone number is 610-395-6606. I paid on-line via credit card for an 8th grade school field trip on which my child was scheduled to go with East Northport Middle School.  Due to COVID-19 pandemic and government mandated "stay at home" orders, the entire field trip was cancelled. I did not take insurance out through Curriculum Travel of America as the paperwork sent home stated that the insurance was an "Individual Cancellation Waiver guaranteeing 100% refund if passenger is individually cancelled before departure for ANY reason" (see attached). Key word being "Individual". The use of the word "individual" is misleading and borders on fraudulent. Through no fault of ours, this was an entire group cancellation NOT an "individual" cancellation. Curriculum Travel of America states that they will NOT refund the balance of monies due. Since no services were rendered, I would appreciate a refund of $155 difference.  They are very aware that they wronged a LOT of people which is evidenced by their deletion of their Facebook account.  Prior to them deleting their Facebook account there had been a multitude of complaints against them leaving them with a 1 star rating.

A few days ago we get an email from this company that attached was a new contract that was agreed to by the Pat-Med board of Education (who didn't give me a dime to pay for said trip) stating that if we purchased an individual wavier (kind of like insurance if you couldn't attend the trip for any reason including the student being barred from trip you would get your money back prior to trip) you would get all your money back minus a fee and if you didn't purchase wavier they would give you half of monies paid for the trip. BUT WAIT THERES MORE!!! So parents who brought the insurance think they are getting their money and those who didn't will only get half. But if you read the fine print, in order for anyone to get money EVERYONE had to sign this new contract/wavier. In this new contract it stated if you sign this and EVERYONE doesn't agree to it or if for whatever reason they decided this deal would cost them money they can cancel the offer and not pay ANYONE anything even if you brought the wavier. You also give up your right to sue via class action, bank and or credit card company and personal lawyer I already disputed it with chase. I got my money back. I explained every just like did now. Also I found this online (see picture) So these sneaky ducks never had any intention of paying us. I logged a complaint against them with The Better Business Bureau. Someone on Facebook also said that the only company that should have been paid up front was the bus company. They were never paid. The hotel and Hershey gave back any money or deposit that was left. So these slick mf's were trying to keep our money for doing nothing. Nice try but not today Satan. I would say stay away from this company, but it seems that they have closed the company permanently (allegedly). Just the same stay away from this company.
