Very traditional, be sure to make a reservation. We got the Wiener schnitzel and Fish special. You won't be disappointed!

Well, not one to ignore a new dish to try, I checked every restaurant in the area and decided the best ones would be here (or so I'd hoped). As a singleton, I got seated with a table that included a couple from Swabian area and a local gent that spends half his year in Spain. It was nice to have people to chat with and they were very patient with my German (as most Germans are). I ordered the Wiener schnitzel and an Augustin Dunkel to start. The beer was very good and the massive fresh schnitzel was equally so. I wasn't sure I'd have room for dessert, but as I was on a mission that I could not fail... I ordered the small potion of Kaiserschmarrn. It was still quite generous and it's times like these another dining partner would be helpful. They were little fluffy pillows of pancake, lightly dusted with powdered sugar with plump raisins in and around each pillow. There was a small dessert glad of homemade applesauce that was so thick. It reminded me of a good apple butter. There were also some pecans livers on the plate and in the applesauce.. I was very full and happily satisfied by the end of the meal. Service was excellent and swift. This is definitely one of the more traditional restaurants that you'll find here in the area and I highly recommend a meal here or at least, dessert.

The ourdoor seating was full, but Nicole welcomed us with a huge smile to a table inside. Andres met us inside and quickly served us our drinks and took our order. He was friendly and joking with us as he worked. We ordered schnitzel and beef as well as apple strudel for dessert. The food was outstanding! All of us greatly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommended!

Booked this hotel online several hours before we checked-in. The bed and bathroom were clean, but…read morethe room smelled a little musty. We stayed in room 17, which was at the top of the second story and next to the lounge (the last room they had available). Fortunately, there was not interior noise. The bell tower rang several times throughout the night, which is very close to the hotel. On Saturday mornings there is a market in the square facing the hotel. If you are sensitive to light make sure to bring a sleeping mask, as the curtains don't completely cover the windows and thus let in a lot of light. There is excellent water pressure in the shower and a gel that is shampoo and body wash combined. Breakfast was €4.50/person and was reasonable. We were a bit surprised to pay at checkout as the online description included "free breakfast." However, it was a very reasonable price. They had several jams, breads, cheeses and meats. To drink there were several juices, water, and a variety of hot teas. Probably wouldn't stay here again due to the close proximity to the bell tower and the light situation.

We stayed here after looking for a place in Lindau and finding this online. We liked the location…read moreon the island and its relative proximity to parking, along with the awesome water pressure. However, our room looked very dated; I think if I had visited 30 years earlier it still would have looked exactly the same. Also, it smelled like moth balls. Other than that, when we went to check out, we discovered that the breakfast wasn't free. When we booked, the site, Booking.com, said this place had a free breakfast, but we had to pay about €4/per person for it. So I felt lied to. The breakfast was fine, about what I'd expected, a small buffet with bread, meats, cheeses and cereal. The place was ok, but if I needed a room in Lindau again, id probably look elsewhere.
