I give them props for turning on old windmill into a clean, rustic looking dining location. A couple of tables in the round, brick-exposed main dining area, a fireplace, and an upstairs area with additional tables. You can see where they're going with this. The food however didn't overwhelm us at our recent visits. German cuisine is best when it's simple and hearty, but both the Eisbein (12 Euro) and the Gulasch (13 Euro) were lacking flavor. The Erdbeereisbecher (strawberry ice cream) at the end tasted cheap, and sadly, service was rushing and had a I-don't-care attitude. Meh. read more

We had the…read moreRinderroulade with Knödel and red cabbage and the asparagus with boiled potatoes (they have a whole extra menu for asparagus season right now). Both were delicious, though the texture of the apple strudel indicated some microwave action in its recent history. But even microwaved strudel tastes pretty awesome with vanilla icecream.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen bei einer Tour durch diese Gegend im Sommer zufällig aud diese wunderschöne Lokalität zu stossen. Bei schönem Wetter nahmen wir draußen Platz und konnten bei gut schmeckenden frischen Kuchen und leckerem Milchkaffee rasten und die herrliche Natur genießen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und auuch schnell, aber es war auch nicht so viel los. Innen ist diese Gastronomie auch sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und einladend. Parkplätze gibt es auch und wir werden hier bestimmt bei unserem nächsten Ausflug wieder hier Halt machen und es bei unseren Freunden im realen Leben und auch hier weiterempfehlen. :-) read more

Wir waren mit unserer Reisegruppe dort, und auch mit 30 Personen war es kein Problem für die fleißigen Kellner und Kellnerinnen uns zu bewirten. Das tolle Ambiente, die schön gedeckten Tische das leckere Schlachtebuffet und die gemütliche Stimmung dank dem schönen Kamin machte uns den Tag dort unfassbar angenehm. Wir kommen gerne wieder! read more
